They took the leafs down the mountain to Odysseus. When Odysseus 70 ate the leafs nothing changed, he was still ill. Athena came down once again and told the men that the leafs were contaminated, and a new tree was to be grown with care every day. The men were very angered by Athena’s request, but they followed her orders. Everyday the men would water the tree and make sure that no ants or bees got onto the leafs. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn Dialectical Journal Ch 1-3 “ The Window Douglas she took me for her son, and allowed she would sivilize me; but it was a rough living in the house all the time, considering how dismal regular and decent the window was in all her ways; and so when I couldn't stand it no longer I lit out” (1,1) “ When we was ten foot off Tom whispered to me, and wanted to tie Jim to the tree for fun. But I said no; je might wake and make a disturbance, and then they'd find out I warn't in. Then Tom said he hadn't got candles enough, and he would slip in the kitchen and get some more. I didn't want him to try. I said Jim might wake up and come.
With every opportunity of listening I will be mindful of creating a safe environment where clarity, understanding, and listening can take place effectively. More, important I should keep in mind how God listen to us. He listen to other with a love, compassion and caring heart. I want to do more listening and slow to speak. James 1:19 (KJV) says, “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.” Taking the correct actions when listening will allow me to mend broken relationship due to lack of communication or listening skills.
The Model of Christian Charity’s tone is more comforting and with great reason, Winthrop was trying to establish a loving comradely between the colonist. This is evident when he says that “all true Christians are of one body in Christ.” Then he compares each person to a body part and according to the sermon “The ligaments of this body are knit together by love. (Lauter 336) ” Winthrop realized that in order for the colony to succeed he had to have the colonist working as one unit especially considering the imminent dangers they were facing in the New World. He also tries to satisfy the individual by addressing the colonist concerns with wealth and social status. Winthrop assures his colonist that being rich, or poor is all part of God’s plan and everyone has a purpose in that plan.
It is never said, but all the evidence points to this because the tree is in the Radley yard itself. Also, when Mr. Radley, Boo’s father, plugs up the tree hole with cement, Jem starts to cry because Radley has destroyed the only attempt for friendship Boo could have had. Boo Radley probably hid these things in the tree in an attempt to communicate with somebody in the outside world, showing the reader that he means no harm which further shows his innocence. Boo builds up his innocence significantly until the climax of the novel, where his innocence is destroyed when he performs a heroic act. After Bob Ewell attacks the children
Jem realizes this when he says, “…he ain’t ever harmed us, he ain’t ever hurt us, he coulda cut my throat from ear to ear that night but he tried to mend my pants instead” (Lee 96). Jem and Scout learn to show compassion for Boo and understand he was leaving them stuff in the tree, covered Scout with a blanket, fixed Jem’s pants and saved their lives. Another theme that Boo Radley’s portrayal brings out is youth. Scout learns an important lesson about stepping into another person’s skin and walking around in it near the end of the book on the Radley front porch. She understands what Boo must have been looking at all these years through his front window.
Throughout ‘Mametz Woods’ the fallen soldiers are constantly referred to collectively, never as individuals. The use of pronouns for referral, such as ‘them’ and ‘they’ makes the reader realise that there were many soldiers involved in the battle of Mametz Woods, and question how many lives were lost. It also makes the reader question the value of the soldiers in a war, and whether they had a distinct value or not, or whether they were just ‘wasted young’, so Sheers presents the effects of war upon the soldiers as being meaningless and worthless. However, when ‘them’ is placed in the opening line of the poem ‘For years afterwards the farmers found them’ as a reader, it places the pronoun in a different perspective, excitement, and we are intrigued

His goal is to help the addict attain and maintain abstinence from addictive drugs and behaviors and to recover from the hurt the addict’s addiction has caused in their life. He believes in order for an addict to continue in lifelong recovery, it is very important for the individual to develop appropriate social skills and find spiritual growth. Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Twelve-Step Facilitation (TSF) are some of the approaches he uses when working with individuals. There are many factors to consider when determining the appropriate type of treatment; substance abused, age of the individual, family system, and physical or mental disorders are some issues that must be considered. One single approach is not effective for everyone and some individuals may require a combination of approaches.
When Peter was spotted and captured he had been walking and running on all four and had been eating the forest flora and he could not speak. Peter subsisted in the woods he lived in and had to care for himself by eating the bark off the trees, leaves and berries. However, we do not know for certain how long Peter was left isolated in the woods for but what was established is before Peter was living in the forest he had been taken care of by someone because when he was found there were remains of a shirt collar wrapped round his neck. It is not certain but people believed, when this news was spread to the country, the town Hamelin then had a considerable amount of criminals and this led some
