Hunting, Fishing, and Grubbing for Survival TONY MADRID DeVry University Hunting, Fishing, and Grubbing for Survival Should everybody know how to hunt, fish and grub given today’s economy? What would happen if there were a catastrophic natural disaster today? If you, your family, and possibly your friends and/or strangers survived, would you be able to feed and shelter everybody? Would there be enough food to go around after the disaster stopped? What happens to animals when people sport hunt? Would animals survive should a catastrophic natural disaster happen? What happens to the fish when people sport fish? Would fish survive should a catastrophic natural disaster happen? Everybody should know how to hunt and/or fish and grub to survive should they survive a catastrophic natural disaster, but then at the same time it should be illegal for people to sport hunt and fish for trophies. Everybody should know how to hunt and/or fish and grub to survive, should people survive a catastrophic natural disaster. Roberts wrote, “If your area is hit by a devastating natural disaster, such as an earthquake or tsunami, access to food can shut down fast” (Roberts, n.d.). Those who know how to hunt and/or fish and grub would be better off to provide food than people that do not know how to do anything. Nunn wrote, “You may be surprised to learn that according to the government, most cities and urban areas have only a three day supply of food and water. This includes food as well as water stored in warehouses as well as on store shelves” (Nunn, 2010). Preparing for the worse is always in the best interest of everybody. What would everybody do after all the food runs out at the stores, and in their cupboards? Many people will starve to death because there is not enough food to supply an entire population.
