Positivists believe that questionnaires are very reliable and that is the main positive goal. However, interpretivists reject the view of questionnaires as they claim it isn’t valid as the respondent on has ‘yes and no’ answer questions and they don’t go into depth with the answer. In Item B it says that ‘parents are accustomed to supplying information to the school’ therefore questionnaires would be the best way to conduct this as they can be given out on a regular basis and don’t need a formal meeting making the parents feel intimidated and not giving completely true answers. Because questionnaires collect information from a large number of people, the results stand a better chance of being truly representative. However, some parents might feel that the questions being asked are too personal and might feel like they are being judged by the school, but although questionnaires may ask personal or sensitive questions; parents are generally under no obligation to answer them.
Against this statement is that God did not create so many rules to stop us using our free will but to influence and set standards to use our free will for the morally good. A good God would not make so many rules and regulations, for if he had created a world as perfect as it has said to be, and then there would be no need for rules and regulations, unless the world was created imperfectly. If this were the case, then there would be a need for rules and regulations and a bridge for God to interact with the world and his creations. For the world was created imperfectly this allows God to justify what is right and wrong by setting down rules in the world. A good god would not punish his people God gives us rules and regulations as an act of love and concern for humanity as he wants to guide us to live our lives in a good way.
My judgments are my own and it’s unique. I can’t predict when it happens and when to shut it down, just like my heart beats. I thought this way because whenever I am are faced with someone or something new, I don’t necessarily think over my thoughts to see if it’s reasonable or if I should not think these thoughts. I was questioning how Gladwell will be able to educate and teach someone to control their judgments and first impressions because everyone is different and their thoughts are of course not the same. However, I do understand how learning to control my snap judgments and first impressions is important because it gives people a second chance to prove who they are but everyone is entitled to their own judgment and not everyone has to agree with
Hick's approach to the necessity of free will grows from the idea that God wants humans to genuinly love him and show faith, without free will we could not make a decision as to whether or not we had faith, belief or even love for God, we would merely be robots designed to love him. From Boethius' idea of God's omniscience we can take that human beings do not possess free will, Boethius states this here 'for If God sees everything in advance and cannot be decieved in any way, whatever his providence foresees will happen, must
Americans take their freedom for granted so much, that I truly believe that only people who have had their freedoms greatly reduced, such as those who have served in the military, know exactly what it means to be free. Everyone has a right to be themselves, but if that right involves behavior where it interferes with learning, then that individual needs to be corrected or removed from disrupting other students. Ethical learning develops a capacity of empathy which enables students to have a greater consideration for others. There is no individual in a team and that everyone can work together through team work towards a common goal or successful outcome. * The Student Code of Conduct is important to me, because it sets a foundation to what is expected from me as a student and all other students.
That may or may not be what I would say if I had total free will as to what I wanted to write about and how I wanted to go about doing it. However, this is clearly not the case and to write a proper paper I must conform to the guidelines which I have been given. If I wrote this paper according to what exactly I wanted to do I am sure I would not be happy with the resulting grade. That is just the way some things work. If we do what we are told, we will succeed.
And to help them do that I plan on giving them a copy of this speech along with my ongoing protest by accepting F's on participation grades due to my lack of note taking. It's not a huge deal, but for some reason mandatory note taking just gets under my skin in a really bad
But if we are a country of democracy why should someone be forced into reciting or doing something they don’t feel believe in. I think the schools should write their own pledge relating to the education side of things. Having your own voice and being heard is a big part of our culture today. I think the children who didn’t recite the Pledge were somewhat outcaste. So the kids who didn’t say it were perfectly identified as different.
We have to realize that we will get no where in life complaining that the teachers don't care about us or that we don't get it. The problem with Gato’s essay is that he does not stress the idea of confidence as a solution to boredom. You have to be confident in your learning ability and help yourself out. Thats why i agree with some of the parts of Gatto’s essay, other parts I disagree with and thats why I believe my essay should be read by students so that maybe they can relate to the things i went through or that I am talking
In this case with healthcare, based on what Kant is about and the way he goes about ethics, I do not see him being in favor of this act of giving healthcare to all citizens of the United States. The deontological theory also states that happiness does not matter when it comes to making decisions regarding rules and regulations, Immanuel Kant could care less about whos happy and whos not with the decisions he makes. Therefore, Kant would not be supportive of this theory of healthcare for all of those who care concerned. Pleasure and pain also are not valid in Kants theory so whether he is providing units of pleasure or units of pain, it really does not matter to him. That is why Mills is the perfect fit for this concept of healthcare to all concerned because he wants to provide the highest unit of hedons to the
