How to use the 10 Steps Critical Thinking Model An Examination into Critical Thinking Author Note This paper was prepared for AMBA 610, taught by Executive Summary In today’s professional world we hear the word critical thinking throughout our lives. Whenever a person makes a decision or solves a complex or simple problem they are using critical thinking. Every day we are using critical thinking. From deciding what to cook for dinner to deciding what flowers are right for the garden, we are using critical thinking. Henceforth, this paper is set to accomplish the task of explaining how critical thinking is established when examined against a specific texts, such as a memo. In fact, the analysis will examine the personal memo from Diana Hackers’s, personal communication, page 430 and will be correlated with the 10 of the critical thinking model which can be found in in Asking the Right Questions by M. Neil Browne and Stuart M. Keeley. All 10 steps will be evaluated against the author's memo and articulated through quality arguments with factual claims, reasoning’s and evidence. This review will also apply models of critical thinking and systems thinking to address complex organizational issues that the memo discusses. Along with each step being identified, the characters claims, reasoning and conclusion will be evaluated against the book, Asking the Right Question. What are the issue and conclusions?
