I believe Einstein was trying to say that obtaining knowledge is much less important than using that knowledge to conjure some kind of scientific concept. Or that he denies the fact that most people see imagination as nothing but useless thoughts. This is true, because today’s knowledge has come from the result of several imaginations of several intellectuals. The knowledge one uses for advantage would be deficient without our imagination to expand on, in order to continue to overcome further posts of knowledge. Why Science Cannot be Fully Trusted Scientific enquiry is widely considered the most reliable means of getting information about virtually every subject. Given its empirical base, people tend to trust science more than other disciplines such as philosophy and arts since they are often founded on widely accepted rather than empirical evidence. The idea behind science is that it should involve investigation and verification of results, and any scientific endeavor should always be subject to rigorous challenge from experiment which contain such advanced science, technology and testing experiment . However, although it has facilitated monumental improvements and changes in human life, it can nevertheless be very misleading if trusted blindly. In such cases, knowledge may end up being characterized as “findings” that have not been critically analyzed and which are fundamentally flawed and inaccurate.
The scientific method is not new to most of the students in these classes. It is the rigorous application of it that we often have oft forgotten and as such we can miss the true “power” of the systemic approach. In our rush to have the right answer sometimes, we forget the value of going through the question and taking it apart to ensure we’ve got the best answer …not just the most expedient one. Research helps us to “trust but verify”. It requires that we test and verify that which we already believe, but just as importantly it helps us understand the other side of an issue and literally give us a better appreciation of the true complexity of an issue.
