Jocks, “preps”, punks, and nerds are among the most common one would find in a high school. Dividing the student body into these categories can be a little confusing to some people and, in my opinion, unnecessary, but it’s just a fact of life that is to be handled like any other means of classification. They are usually classified as the “cool kids” and are known by everyone in and close to their school.
Speaker: Margaret Talbot, a women living in the twenty first century, believes that students are stressed and feel a lot of pressure to become valedictorian. This implicit presumption about what the audience accepts is illustrated by, “In 2002, Audrey Lin, one of Missions San Jose;s many valedictorians, admitted that she had cheated to get to the top in high school, and gave back her valedictorian plaque.” This shows that Lin felt the pressure of staying on top that she cheated. The author would not have put this in her essay if she didn’t believe that’s what Lin was feeling in high

At the age of 14 I entered high school. This time in an individual’s life is usually quite gruesome and brutal and either can make or break a person. I had to learn to adjust to a new environment and find my place in this secret society of high school. My fears of not fitting in this new environment I had to utilize self concept and self esteem to be able to cope with the changes and the social world before drowning in my own fear. As I overcame the sense of fear my self esteem boosted me up and motivation through self efficacy allowed my high school years to be abundantly full of joy and great experiences.

What I felt at the time was unsullied hatred” (Morrison pg.19). Claudia is too young to understand what is about Shirley that makes her beautiful and Claudia not.

She was also living with a mean lady for a while, and she was very cruel to Tec. The lady always had her working, and this just made her miss her family even more. It was really hard for Tec to pretend that she was a different religion. She was a proud Jewish girl, and for her to be around all of the Christians who spoke badly about Jews really hurt her.
Secondly, Kath has a selfish characteristic where she tends to change things so that things seem more suitable for her. Kath thought she was the queen of the school and acted very selfish. Kath’s selfishness is shown towards her interaction with her brother. Kath has a twin brother, Kevin, whom she never hangs out with and did not want to be seen with. In school, there was a girl named Christine who Kath made fun of just once, specifically about her ears.
