Dear: National Junior Honor Society Committee I currently represent the “Character” Trait of NJHS by being honest to others and very workable with my fellow peers. Many people rely on me as a very good person to come to in a great time of need. I deeply care for my family and other people. I also listen to others ideas to help improve their idea or to help make it a reality. I will use all of these characteristics to help this organization reach out to people in need.
Pete Tarnish was an outstanding teacher who was able to communicate well with his students, care deeply about them, and be a great family man. My eighth grade science and math teacher, Mr. Tarnish, was the most enjoyable teacher I have ever had. Unlike numerous teachers, he made class fun. He had a nonconventional matter of teaching that made his students yearn for more knowledge. He had the ability to relate complex science material into our daily lives.
This calculator represents me I am as responsible person. I use mathematic principle everyday in my life. I subtract all unnecessary desire, and all positive things. I share all happiness with others by this divide key. Fourth is the laptop, this represents me as technology and science.
After being indulged in this project with Gloria, it really helped me to get to know her more. Gloria was very caring, intelligent, and also ambitious. In her spare time, she participated in community service activities; she believed that it was very important to give back to the community. She would go to homeless shelters and help serve food during the holidays. In addition, every Saturday she attended a community college to tutor kids with special needs.
During my high school career, I have put a lot of effort forward in my schoolwork and have challenged myself with advanced courses. I have successfully been competing against my other classmates to try and be the best I can be. I have received honor roll every semester of my high school career. Being selected as a potential candidate for NHS proves my academics, but what makes me a great candidate is not just my average. It is difficult to narrow down many instances in which I have showed great leadership.
I believe Mrs. Williams left an impact on every child who was blessed enough to have her. When compared to a few other teachers I have had, there is a very practical reason why Mrs. Williams sticks out. Her thoughtfulness and cheeriness top the charts. Mrs. Williams has influenced me so greatly that I have decided to become an English teacher. I only hope to be half as great as her.
The information will help me get through my school and finish assignments on time. Also it will help me manage my time and stay on top of all of my classes. Getting through my first year at college will be hard but if I stay organized and focused I will reach my goals and succeed. To be a better student I need to seek extra help and use the resources on campus more often. I need to set goals in each one of my classes and stay focused and put my school work first.
I always received good grades in elementary school. I had admirable teachers and the work was easy. My teachers were also flexible when it came to turning in work. I thought that middle school would be exactly the same. I was in for a big surprise.
For the past thirty years, they have worked toward eliminating hunger in their community. Over the years the Food bank has grown in size and impact, increasing pounds of food distributed to countless people. The food bank has helped over 414,000 people annually by distributing food through 400 Partner Agencies and programs. Money donated by people can help purchase food needed to provide balanced meals and support the operations of all their food programs. For every $1 dollar they donate, the food bank can purchase $6 worth of food and groceries.
In time, I grew to appreciate, understand, and care for their unique needs, and as a result, time passed quickly as my communication, patience, and problem solving abilities improved. More importantly, through this one-on-one experience, I learned a lot about the community. I learned that a seemingly small gesture of kindness or support could truly make a difference in the lives of the special needs students that I worked with, and in turn, their smiles and laughter gave me a sense of
