Even though the Fit is the smallest model in the Honda lineup, it’s about the same length and width as the Honda Civic. The Honda Fit was originally available as a three-door hatchback in 2000. Luckily, it became available as a five-door vehicle, which in turn mad the Fit significantly roomier inside due to its tall, upright body style. This vehicle would be great for just about anybody expect for big families. It may have similar looks of a minivan but it definitely doesn’t hold as many people. I think that the Honda Fit would be best for a single person, a young couple, a family of five or less (preferable with a max of two car seats because more than that, will not fit comfortably), or an older couple with no children to tote around. The most important feature to most car buyers is not technology its safety. The Honda Fit comes with stability and traction control, antilock brakes, front side airbags, side curtain airbags, and active front head restraints. The fit was rated 5/5 for front crash protection and front-occupant side crash protection. It received a 4/5 for rear-occupant protection in a side crash. Last but definitely not least; the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety gave the fit a top mark of “Good” in the frontal-offset and side crash tests, and a second-best rating of “Acceptable” in the roof-strength test. When looking for a vehicle to buy, there are plenty of other features besides safety that may influence you in your purchase. Such as affordability, performance, body styles, interior design, etc. A new 2011 Honda Fit cost $15,100-$19,240 and a used one cost $13,360-$15,243. This vehicles fuel economy is 27-28 city and 33-35 highway mpg. The Fits cost and mpg varies
