Homeland Security Plan: Knowing the Enemy Within Homeland Security Plan: Knowing the Enemy Within Living Among Us Consider a scenario where today’s street gangs mix with old separatist ideologies get even more twisted with methods of violence with complete and utter disregard towards innocent civilians. This real live threat involves the connection of a new hybrid and yet, previously considered dormant terrorist groups linked to or hiding in the midst of street gangs, such as the MS-13 which have 10,000 plus members in the U.S., and control several large narcotics and weapons smuggling points nationwide and the Americas. Today, there are many Puertorrican independent activists spread throughout Puerto Rico, the United States, Cuba, Colombia, Nicaragua, Salvador and Venezuela, and are believed to be participating in terrorist training camps in an effort to revive this organization. The danger here is that these Puertorrican terrorists can still pass as U.S. citizens, so their infiltration to the U.S. mainland remains a nightmarish scenario for the U.S. Law Enforcement.
