I think the words play to a part of us as kids and adults that we hope to find our own “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”. The words are not the only element of emotion as the music in the background sneaking its way into our ears not even registering while we watch her beautiful face but telling us how to feel. This influential music is played by a full orchestra and composed by Harold Arlen played by the MGM orchestra. Isael "IZ" Kamakawiwoʻole is a performer from Hawaii that lived and died there. His performance of Somewhere over the rainbow was introduced to me in march 2011 after a dear friend passed away.
They stumbled through the dark together and stepped into the clearing. They arrived just as the first light of dawn touched the morning mist. Forming the words of the song in his mouth, at first just a whisper, then a little louder, he begun to see and hear the magic harp. So it’s true he thought, it’s really true. He filled his lungs with his mothers lullaby.
My cousin, Karen Lopez, and I would play a Christmas song on our violin at the end of the rosary. I believe that I would be a valuable member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society because I can maintain an overall average of 85 and higher. With all my classes accelerated, like math, social studies, science and English. I also love to help do fundraisers to help the school raise money for good cause. Also, to help the school be a better place and environment for my fellow peers.
Music Appreciation Music 10 Dates: Nov. 04, 2012 Mission College Symphony: Winter Journey The first concert that I attended was when I was in high school, but I was part in it. I was actually one of the choirs performing and so this is basically the first concert that I’ve watched and listen to as an audience. The first music piece started with slow melodic sounds and became a little faster then started and ends in slow. The second piece had a pattern and had a catchy sound to it. The tenor sings with low to high to a very loud dynamic then low again like a wave.
On Friday December 9th, 2011 I attended the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s “Holiday Cirque de la Symphonie” performance. The main focus for the concert was the Cirque performances to Christmas music. I was a passive listener as the Cirque performances took most of my attention. I enjoyed the music thoroughly as it was performed beautifully but the Cirque performers were definitely the show for me. Pieces performed included: A Christmas Festival, O, Holy Night, Sugar Rum Cherry & Toot Toot, Tootie Toot, Sleigh Ride, Skater’s Waltz, Farandole from L’Arlesienne Suite No.
The holly, jolly, red-clad elf is a common story often told to children during the holiday season. Though used with the thought of spreading an extra hint of joy to further help in the Christmas spirit, there are some points that even a child would find fault with. A man with an army of elves creates toys in the North Pole year-round, and then he delivers these toys all around the world in one night by riding in a sleigh drawn by eight flying reindeer and squeezing through chimneys. A cute story to tell around the Christmas tree, but a star-gazed child who spends his/her first few Christmases waiting for Santa (who kind of resembles Uncle Jim) will be immensely disappointed when they discover the true story. The child will eventually be told, or
The piano was present with consonant yet vivace notes. Although the piano over took the choir in certain parts but they gained their momentum back. By the end of the show I noticed the choir had put their all into the song. I felt a warm sense of energy. This choir had to me the most proper attire for the occasion; Apple Festival apparel.
A Christmas movie serves as a soundtrack while the tree is twinkling and sparkling in the background. I love making the same traditional Christmas cookies that I have made forever (Pizzelles and Spritz) with people I love.. The Sarasota Crew boys also won their heats in the second varsity eight and the boys single and double. In the finals, the Sarasota Crew will have eight boys and four girls teams. IF OUR RESIDENTS SEE SOMETHING THAT LOOKS WRONG, WE WOULD APPRECIATE THEM CALLING 311.
Definitely a creative way to use wine bottles as Christmas décor! Consider that usually less is more! http://warrengrovegarden.blogspot.bg/2011/12/happy-new-year.html In the picture above, a garden spot decorated for Christmas. So charming…and romantic…Sometimes, simplicity is so beautiful! Undoubtedly, red and green remain the most traditional colors of Christmas.
Additionally, the reindeer wears a Santa-red saddle which complements the red nose. Even in the heat of a Kansas summer, the reindeer elicits dreams and memories of Christmas. To provide musical entertainment during rides, the carousel houses the Wurlitzer Band organ, which occupies the center of the carousel. The start of music cues the beginning of each new carousel
