It is hard to predict the future but I believe the PPC advertising will become even more targeted and will make it possible for marketers to almost engage in 1-2-1 marketing. An example can be that relevant ads will only appear to users based on even their email addresses or phone numbers as mentioned by Larry Kim in his WordStream article (2017). With the growth of social media, PPC advertising will become even more connected to social sites and will track the behaviour of people on those sites to personalize the adverts. Conclusion It is no longer about mass marketing. Online marketing and PPC advertising are taking over. PPC advertising allows to reach the target group of customers with even limited budgets. Marketers are able to advertise globally and track their marketing and sales activities. More and more firms are going online and this number will continue rising in the future especially with the high potential of PPC advertising and technology development. References Burke, S.
