Free Write The changes that I listed in my change wheel have effected my life tremendously and I wouldn’t change them for the world. Some of the global changes like the drinking age have not also affected my life. They have almost got me into some trouble but gave me some great times and memories to remember for the rest of my life and maybe even pass on as wise stories for my kids. My changes that have been listed will also make great wise tales and stories for my kids to hopefully learn from and listen to as advice for the world they will be growing up in. The fact being that the world they grow up in will surely be much different than the way I knew it at my age now as the same for my parents.
Although I could have taken other courses that fell under speech, I chose this one because I thought it to be more beneficial in my personal and career development, which comes to my second reason. I took this class for personal and career growth. Throughout my years in the real-world, all my jobs have been centered towards the public. I guess that is why I switched my major from Business Administration to Public Safety Administration. Dealing with the public you are always going to have to communicate in some way or form, just as you would on a day to day basis when you interact with others; children, spouse, co-workers, family, and/or friends.
Another thing would be to know how to understand my tolerance for risk and how to push past barriers and other obstacles that will be in my path to success. Keeping a positive attitude towards things
The best way to overcome this laziness is to motivate them selves. Reminding themselves of all the good that will come out of them completing college. I would never want to go to class, but I always reminded myself of how much easier my future is going to be once I get a degree. Self-discipline is not only to motivate them, but to also learn how to adapt to a new environment. When in college, students have a wide selection of people in their classes.
The competencies exercise revealed my top strengths to be leading, cooperating, coping with pressure, networking, taking initiative and innovating. I am someone who enjoys leading and developing others to achieve results. I can improve upon my critical thinking skills by knowing my strengths and accepting my weaknesses. This will also help with evaluating arguments in a meaningful way. When one knows their competencies they can step up and utilize their strengths and leverage others when needed.
However, I always feel that they won’t learn if not given a chance to try and improve themselves. I tend to also be very confident in my own work. I trust myself first and foremost. I’m not close to constructive criticism or getting help form others.
