This leads many to question the gun control law of our own country. How is our gun control law and how are they different from other countries? In this research paper, gun laws of United Kingdom, Canada, and United States of America will be compared. Also, the gun related crime rate of these countries will be also compared to figure out what kind of gun control law result in a safer country. Even before Canada officially became a country on July 1st 1867, gun control was already being applied to our soon to be independent British colony.
Canadians in the Second Battle of Ypres Sean Chia Wei Hsiung Social Studies 11 2-4 Mr. Schroeder November 4th Canada was dragged into an irrelevant war by Britain after its declaration of independence in 1867 against Germany due to its unchanged foreign policy. Canada played an essential role for Great Britain in many battles in World War I (WWI). The most important battle was the second battle of Ypres. In order to support its mother country, Canada shipped large amount of soldiers and volunteers to Britain, and provided numerous weapons and ammunition, which resulted in the success of the second battle of Ypres. Canadian forces saw their first engagement of WWI as part at the second battle of Ypres, showing their valour in the battle of Gravenstafel, Kitchener’s Woods, and Saint Julien.

McCabe ENG-3UI June 11, 2012 Three Day Road – Literary Criticism Essay In the novel Three Day Road by Joseph Boyden, the theme of change, development and evolution of character is clearly evident. This is shown through Elijah’s and Xavier’s adjustment to the war, the deterioration of their friendship and how their character development leads to their destruction and fates. During the grim and grey years of WWI, Elijah and Xavier, a pair of young Oji-Cree hunters of Northern Ontario, decide to join the army and fight in the cities of Ypres and Somme respectively. It is here where they learn to adjust to the culture, and the war, which they both undoubtedly approach in different manners. Xavier adjusts by staying reserved and marginalized, almost an invisible ghost, while Elijah participates with others, constantly seeking them for credit and attention.

Robidoux, an Assistant Professor of Kinesiology at the University of Lethbridge, Alberta had written an article by the name of “Imagining a Canadian Identity through Sport: A Historical Interpretation of Lacrosse and Hockey”. In this article there are many important points concerning these sports and how it is perceived to Canadians as our national symbol (209). Hockey and Lacrosse are two sports which have shaped the way sports in the world today are ruled out and played. In the earlier years, lacrosse was known as a very aggressive and rugged sport that was displaying what it meant to be a Canadian settler in an unforgiving northern territory (214-215).
Since 1892, death was the penalty for all murders in Canada. It was abolished in 1961, here by on murder was divided into capital and non-capital groups as act of Parliament. The death penalty should be bought back in Canada as a consequence for capital crimes.
