The Great Gatsby - This novel is about misguided love between two socialites -- Gatsby and Daisy -- as they realize the American Dream isn't as glamorous or as long-lasting as society suggests. She is the one thing that stands between Gatsby and his idea of "perfection," as she is the only unrealistic dream that he chases and does not obtain.
