She said to me, “Kristen, I have a question…” and I replied, “Yeah Grace, what’s up?” She then proceeded to ask me if I could help her with butterfly in the pool, (this was both of our “strokes.”) I replied, without hesitation, “Of course!” As she was excitedly got undressed and got her goggles with a huge smile on her face, I realized God was present in this moment. It showed me the important things in life, not what I’m going to be doing that night, or when my next break was, or that I didn’t get to eat my lunch. I realized that Grace took joy in the sport of swimming and that I can take things for granted. Here in front of me was a child who was terribly sick, but still found the energy to want to learn new things. She taught me that even through the busyness in my life or the suffering the world God is present, and all is
The water being cool for my wife and me, we were hesitant to enter on it. The children started to splash water on us. We decided afterward to join them in the water. After that everybody went to different part of the water park, the first one was called Adventure River that was a tube down 1,000 foot, encountering waterfalls, where water bursts and geysers along the way. The next one was called big Kahuna in which we hop on the four slide inner table complex and get propelled down a criss-crossed course into a pool
Feeling that she needed to socialise, Cady’s parents enrolled her to North Shore High school. On her first day of North Shore High school, Cady was often left out and she was unfamiliarised with the school’s surroundings and people. On the second day, Cady had become friends with two social outcasts, Janis Ian and Damian. Janis and Damian had misled Cady into thinking that they were taking to G14 for her Health Education class but instead, they brought her to the back of the school where they skipped class. This is where Janis had stated that they were friends and Cady stayed with them.
Deshay Perry Ms. Verner 4/24/15 English 103B We Real Cool Have you ever seen adolescents doing something at a place while they were supposed to be at school? Well in “We Real Cool”, the speaker “distills” feelings of some pool players she sees in a pool room near her house during school hours in this poem. The poem’s theme is the Rhythm and Rhyming the speaker is using. There are many other themes in this poem, such as Identity, Pride, and Mortality. The reason why rhythm and rhyming is the best theme in We Real Cool is because the poem is upbeat and full of music.
Through bloody noses, and breath taking drills, Jerry prepares himself to swim through that mysterious tunnel to cure his curiosity. Jerry and his mother are attached at the hip early on in the story. Every time Jerry tries to slip away from his mother, a surge of guilt sweeps over him as she smiles, “he was very familiar with that anxious, apologetic smile”(page
It took a while for them to find a job but they soon found a job in Reinbeck that paid good,at least for them. Nine days before my 16th birthday we moved to Reinbeck, where nobody knew about my mom or anything. School was starting soon and I was so happy not getting harassed or judged by my mom's mistake. Walking into the Glad brook-Rein beck school as a new student people kept asking me questions, where I came from, what's my name, all that good stuff. I never did hear anyone ask ,”Oh, is your my a sex offender?” Of course the principle knows and some teachers but as long as no students know I'm happy with that!

In this paper,I will present a brief description of a few of my life experiences that have helped shape the person I am today and analyze some of these experiences using the adult development theories from this class.
As a result, new situations always make me a bit nervous, and my first swimming lesson was no exception. Then I went to the bath room to change into my swim suit. Then I went out stood timidly by the side of the pool waiting for the teacher and other students to show up .As I waited I begun to look around at the water and started getting nervous. The smell of nice summer day air was so pleasant. Then my teacher came over.
And while I had my toys and my friends around I still had to be responsible about doing my homework and wake up every morning and wear my clothes to go to school. I learned to do everything by myself and. Finally after one year my dad decided that we can go to see my mom. At the first time, I did not feel anything when I saw her because I could not remember her as a mom. This really hurt me as
