This could just further discourage some student from even attending college at all or even going as far as dropping out of high school because they are not able to achieve the required 15-20 college credit
Typically these are achieved by a combination of traveling, volunteering, interning, or working. Students get very burnt out from high school, so why not take a break? Sixty percent of students are not mentally prepared to go straight to college after high school (“Data”). Many students can go gain experience in their field of study to increase their further knowledge during a gap year. They could also go and learn a new language or tour a different country.

Whether it be a parent sick, or a loss of a parent, or they just cannot make ends meet, that’s a heavy responsibility on a student and they would not be able to do both. In my opinion, the most important reason a student drops out is because they fall behind in school, and there is no way for them to catch up. Whatever the reason is, it is important for students to know that there are options. Distance learning is a great way to get back on track with school and get students motivated to graduate and start college.
He brought up a good point that a lot of people wouldn't have thought of in terms of a student’s education. Now I do kind of disagree with Bruno with the fact that as the students who lag behind in high school will later lag behind in college. It's not like the students were told not to push themselves or to take the easy route, they decided to go down that road. Do homework for a hour and really make their paper great or rush it before class. A simple choice like that can make a total difference in whether they really learned something or if they cheated themselves.

As a student he or she must find a way to balance their new life as a college student and their transitions. There will be difficulty transitioning such as adapting to new the new environment, trying to make new friends and difficulty with class work. Adjusting to an environment that you’re not used to can be too much for some students.
Should Students Have the Right to Drop Out of School at Any Age? In the tradition sense, a solid education background or advanced degree can guarantee a good career. Based on this perspective, students should work hard and finish school. However in reality, new data from the state Department of Education shows “More than 1 in 5 public school students in the county will drop out of school by their senior year”. However, if students have the right reason to drop out of school due to their personality and personal interest, family issues, or they have own business, they should be able to decide their future since talent is not based solely on academics.
