Fourth Grade AWC When I saw Ms. Baldi yelling at markers, I realized that she looked like Gumball Watterson’s mother from the Amazing World of Gumball (a cartoon) when Gumball when Gumball squirted lemons into her eyes, but Ms. Baldi’s face looked more red. I thought that Ms. Baldi’s head had a fuse lit in it. Ms. Baldi is my nice, calm teacher (she was just doing a showing, not telling lesson, something you will learn in fourth grade AWC) who teaches AWC (Advanced Work Class). I have worked a long way to get into the AWC. I have been in the Murphy for five years. My past teachers have been Mr. Leahy, Ms. Folm, and Mrs. Vanick. I like working with them because they give me a fun time learning. Nothing was a fun in all of those school years watching Ms. Baldi screaming at markers. My challenges were MCAS and keeping my Questions of the Day name tag. My accomplishments this year were getting an E on my conduct grade, getting a check-plus on my prompt, and getting a 4-plus on my story map. My memories are Oliver Twist and Ms. Baldi throwing a tantrum. Overall, fourth grade AWC has been an exhilarating thrill ride. My challenges were MCAS and keeping my Question of the Day name tag. MCAS was a challenge because I did not like the open-responses in both the ELA and the math portions of the MCAS. Keeping my Question of the Day name tag was a challenge because someone was hiding it in the library. My accomplishments this year were getting an E on my conduct grade, getting a check-plus on my prompt, and getting a 4-plus on my story map. Getting an E as my conduct was an accomplishment because I am not someone who likes to write neat. Thankfully, I have more story maps, conduct grades, and prompts to be graded.
