I was so happy that I didn’t have to worry about the stress of this topic anymore. My parents were so proud that about how determined I was. Now I realize that it wasn’t until I completed the Geometry class in my junior year that I passed the regents in June of 2011. I believe this is because Geometry was the necessary class to take before Algebra II Trigonometry but the curriculum in my school district wasn’t set up that way, causing many students to fail. Many students who failed were “A Students” and never failed a test before this.
Jamison Mullen Ms.Cramer Final reflective essay 5/24/12 It’s been a long hard year for all the students that took English 10. It’s good that people take English because it affects the way we talk, live, and function in day to day life. I can say personally English helped my writing tremendously. I could hardly write essays due to my bad grammar and the inability to punctuate my words and sentences I’ve come a long way. It was worth every question and worksheet to where I am now.
I knew I could succeed in whatever I wanted to do with my life, but the problem was I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life. As students; however, we all process many strengths, mine being that I’m a great reader, but I wasn’t always a great reader. When I was in first grade, I was placed in special education because of my poor reading skills. Now this helped me a lot, by showing me where my weaknesses where in reading. Consequently
I’m grateful for that place, we’ve learned and struggled and in the end, we graduated. As amazing as the school was, there was one moment that I can and will never forget. We all have those stories of that high school crush. I have one significant story of how I got asked to prom at my high school. It was a regular school day; I tended to stay after for extracurricular activities.
It was not until my Sunday school teacher told me that "Everyone falls sometime in life; it is the strong and determined that will get back up and start over again". From that very moment I did my best at whatever I did, whether school, sports, or being a leader. The second time I repeated the 7th grade I achieved A/B honor roll the entire year. Due to my accomplishment, the principal offered me the opportunity of being placed in my correct grade. Though this was a wonderful opportunity I decided to decline the offer.
I would be classified as a person that is in this percentage. No it was not in high school, but it was happening in elementary and middle school. To have a bullying presentation brought to my high school, La Salle Academy, I was honored and ecstatic to hear from the presenter. That day I sat next to my closest and best friends, as the presenter came in she introduced herself as, Jodee Blanco. I imagined her speech to be motivating and to help me feel as if I was not the only person out there that has suffered these attacks and later the consequences of anxiety, depression, and panic.
The place where I know I’m most welcome Throughout my life I have faced a lot in school and it was not only academy wise there were more to it, I used to be blamed for things I don’t know about. However I learned how to make all bad things good things and make the best out of it all. I realize that difficulties can make you accomplish a lot in your life without you fighting back. I move to America three years ago and came to the country with no idea of how the school system works and I did not have any idea of how they teach students differently. Trying to achieve what I want in life is really hard all I know is that I have support all the way to the end.
when school was over that day, i had gotten so many good feedbacks from kids i knew and some i never seen around before. the news went through Centennial Elementary School so quick i felt lke a superstar being greeted from so many people. i met alot of new friends and i was happy i did accept the boys challenge. it broke me out of my shell and ever since then i wasnt scared to do something daring but was still smart about what i choose. im still shy to a certain point still to this day, but not as shy as i was before thanks to that stunt i had to pull off in fourth
John Powell English 1010 Casey Lambert September 20, 2012 In the fourth grade, we seem to view the world in a completely different perspective. We don’t realize it until we grow older, but imagination can take us anywhere we want to go, make us anything we want to be, whenever we like. One of my favorite memories of fourth grade is my flashback to science class. That year in Mrs. Townsley’s class, each of my classmates and I were given a caterpillar to take care of as a class project during classroom hours. Its lime green slinky, like shape was mesmerizing as one could imagine, for a fourth grader.
1. Which of Ho’s ideas or examples correspond to what you have experienced or what you know about education? First, I enjoy this article since it compares and relates to my particular knowledge and experience since my college in Iraq. I was one of the best students; however, my cleverness also depends on the learning plan in Iraq, which was so complex. Someday, I didn’t even wanted to go to school because my teachers used to use a strong punishment for students who come to class and they’re not prepared.
