Civilization was crushed” (page 103). The population of the United States was dramatically affected by the disaster because the explosion took out the President, so without the Government running smoothly and half of the population blasted out of existence, the civilization of Fort Repose and other cities are dwindling down. “I don’t see how we could get rocked from that distance. Maybe they hit Palm Beach and Miami. Maybe they missed and pitched two in the Glades” (page 93).
On a cold December 30, 1903, parents and children were headed to the Iroquois Theater in downtown Chicago to see Mr. Bluebeard. The theater had just opened that day and was said to be “absolutely fireproof;” in the end, the exact opposite was true. The tragedy begun when an arc light shortened and ignited a drop curtain. When that happened audience member’s panicked and began scrambling to escape but due to the over-packed crowd there was no way to escape thorough the small main doorway. (Sauberman) Ultimately, due to misjudgments and mistakes the Iroquois Theater burned down, killing a total of 602 people; because of this, stricter theater fire codes were passed.
Eastern Europe, including both the small Eastern nations and Russia, were absolutely devastated by war. The Soviet had 20 million dead. Because of this, the vengeful Soviet Union wanted to lash back at beaten Germany, aiming at both fierce punishments of Nazi leaders and dismantling German factories and basically making German economic recovery impossible. The Soviets' damages were so immense that they were determined to rebuild their shattered land by extracting enormous reparations from the Germans. This is why the Soviet Union sought to take over many of the eastern lands that were once under German control Poland and Hungary became nearly dependent to the Soviets, and the Soviets also began to eye obtaining Greece and later Turkey.
We are all familiar with OJ Simpson’s case. He was the famous football player turned actor, made notorious by murder trial in 1995. “Trial of Blood”, said Newsweek. “An American Tragedy” TIME Magazine reads. The Impact of Black Death & the World It Made Aaron Semkiw HIS: 103 World Civilizations I Instructor Kenneth Adderley April 9, 2011 The Impact of Black Death & the World It Made The Black Death was the world’s equivalent of an apocalyptic war, and it changed the lives of many people. It destroyed one-third of Europe’s populace, claiming somewhere around twenty million lives. And still, much of what we grasp about it is incorrect. The elements of the Plague defined in the imaginations of frightened school kids, the grotesque black bruises, the out of control state of high temperatures, and the unpleasant cessation by respiratory collapse, are just about conclusively true. But what this disease really was and how it made
This began to severley mark and tarnish American relations with European nations, as American soldiers were seen to be careless and vengeful. “There were more than 2,000 casualties [at the Battle of Caen] on the first two days, and in a way it was miraculous that more people weren't killed when you think of the bombing and the shelling which carried on for days afterwards. Eight hundred civilians lost their lives in the 48 hours following the invasion, and 15,000 took refuge for more than a month in the tunnels to the south of the city.” The civilian population drastically fell, immediately following these intense bombings, proving to be living evidence of the mistakes made by Allied forces. “Caen had fallen from 60,000 to 17,000 civilians, causing great resentment” between the two powers, furthering that American-European

This protest could be seen as the beginning of the end for Tsar Nicholas II as he called his army to open fire on all the protesters, killing several hundred protestors. Because of the high death count this event is known as ‘Bloody Sunday’. This caused more people to lose respect for the monarchy and began to lose loyalty from his army, an example of this would be in June 1905, the crew of the battleship Potemkin rebelled in the Russon-Japanese War. Because of this Nicholas was faced with two choices, a continuence of the current condictions or consitiutional reform. The reforms that Nicholas signed in October 1905 promised the people of Russia, civil liberties, freedon of speech, freedom of assembly and that no laws are to be introduced without the agreement of the Duma.

Gallo was driving drunk and hit the rookie pitcher Angel and his two friends and killed them in a horrible accident. He accepted his mistake and was given 15 years to life on each of the murder counts and six additional years for the other crimes. He was going at 65mph when he hit three people and killed them. His alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit when he crossed the red light. I feel very sorry for him because he was unlucky that night and he got caught in an accident.
