Assignment 2: Research Proposal – Thesis, Major Points, and Plan The topic selected is should changes be made to the regulations for foods in public schools. This topic was selected for two reasons; first, a quality education is the basis of progress within the individual, social, and economic levels of a society. The second is the government is offering the education at little or no cost. With this the government is offering meals to the students at very low cost if not totally free. The focus is on the nutritional quality of the food offered.
There are always companies trying to offer a better price to schools constantly and they are giving into these unbeatable prices without even thinking about the consequences (Junk Food). These foods are so cheap because they are manufactured and processed so that the company can produce as much as possible and as cheap as possible. This means that the foods given to the students are not up to its nutritional best and this is the main reason students are eating so poorly. Instead, McHenry County schools can begin to start buying their foods from local farmers and other companies that are local and are more nutritional. Vending machines can also be implemented with other things other than just chips, cookies and other junk foods like that.
Another factor of obesity can also be linked to parental responsibility. Parents may seem too busy at times to cook healthy meals for their kids; instead they choose the easy way out and go through the drive through for their unhealthy dinner. There are better options besides fast
Newly created technology prevents a lot of people from wanting to leave their homes because everything is so readily available there. Contributing factors to obesity in America are lack of exercise, the lack of a good diet, and also the lack of time. Exercising on a regular basis is a hard routine to get into, but it is better late than never. It’s especially hard if you’re not used to exercising at all. Once people reach a certain age or even a certain weight,
Gourmet food is more expensive to purchase, than food at a regular grocery store. A gourmet specialty shop has higher fixed costs. Since there are no food preservatives in the food sold there, there is a high turnover rate for food expiration dates. The product waste potential is high, and ordering needs to be constant. An automated ordering system will help with this issue, as well.
Such classes would also be an exciting market for Kudler to explore. Culinary classes could be held on site. The primary attribute of the cooking classes would be the concentration on fun while creating healthy alternatives for dinner. The cooking classes would be like the prepared dinners in embracing the component of convenience for customers, yet allowing the cooking to be conducted in the home once the lesson is learned. A customer could prepare multiple dinners in the same time that it would take the customer to prepare one dinner at home, while eliminating having the clean one’s kitchen.
Relocation for hiring two cooks will become costly for the restaurant so not good strategy. So it is better to attract talented candidate through advertisement and some benefit like health insurance, some facility for cook’s family and some other rewards. Overstaff or Understaff: Buffalo Wild Wings must seek to be fully staffed. Overstaff will cause employees of the restaurant to remain idle and the restaurant needs to take steps to reduce head count such as layoff or early retirement plan. Keeping idle employee in employment will be expensive for the restaurant as the restaurant needs to pay salary to those employees even if it does not gain anything from them.

The things the world needs to work on is that kids are not eating the fruits, vegetables, and grains they need to eat in a day. The people in this world need to help the kids break their habit of eating junk food all the time. The world need to start by taking away some of the junk food in schools and exchange it with fruits and vegetables. School lunch ladies need to give the kids the nutrients they need so they do not gain weight.
As college is a big part of life from the aspect of a resume, nutrition is also a big part of keeping yourself healthy and the habits you start as a young person have a tendency to follow through the rest of a person’s life; even though it may complicate schedules and a college student’s life, nutritional meals are essential. As many college students are trying to save some cash while going through school, their food choices are not always the most nutritious. Common mainstays in dorm rooms and college apartments are Ramen noodles and Easy Mac, along with other foods high in carbohydrates and sodium. Pastas and pre-packed meals are cheaper and easier to prepare than the meals that families prepare, with that said there are also the inconveniences in some housing arrangements. Many dorms do not have full functioning kitchens at the disposal of the students; most colleges try to counter this problem with meal plans.
In the past, one could support their family without a college education and still have the means to live comfortably. However that is not the case anymore. In today’s society all of the high paying jobs require and demand college experience. These jobs that are at the high paying end of the spectrum have changed their basic requirements because of technology rapidly increasing day by day, getting more complicated and difficult-which makes them want to make sure that their employees are properly trained. This however, does not sit well with people who are becoming unemployed or who have seniority at their current jobs.
