Communism and democracy are two different political systems based on differing ideologies. Communism is a socioeconomic structure which is mainly based on the idea of the establishment of a society free of class and state. On the other hand democracy is a political system of governance which is either carried out directly by the people or by the representatives they elect. The main concerns of communism are equality and fairness on the basis of common ownership. Power is vested in a group of people, who may intervene or rather interfere in the public life of others.
The basic principle of communism is that it depends on the government’s control of industry while Fascism is based on the pride of the society and on violence to create the ideal society through the eyes of the leader. There is a difference in the two governmental styles with regards to social structure. In a true communistic society, there are no social classes, because there is a command economy which deletes the use of a social structure. All citizens are equal and share everything. In a society where Fascism is used, there are very pronounced social classes mainly because everyone has a specific role.
The road to socialism is peaceful and will happen naturally without any sort of violent trigger. FABIAN SOCIETYRevolutionary socialists also believe that it is inevitable as there will be a sudden revolt as a result of the ever worsening oppression of the proletariat. They think that this is inevitable because the free market system that liberals believe in is undeniably exploitative and private property leads people to take advantage over other people for personal gains. This also leads to another disagreement which is the levels of violence that is necessary. A revolt naturally involves a minimum level of violence.
For some, this would be a society that supports the rich and wealthy while the lower classes feed upon the scraps they throw away. This idea is still true to this day for a select few. Though the mass of the population desires a classless society, where all are born and die as equals, where there is no war or murder, no resource battles over moronic and closed minded reasoning. Sadly, 1984 explains how this classless society is impossible to accomplish. How the classes merely battle over power above each other and will continue to do so until the cycle is forced to a halt.
The world portrayed in “Harrison Bergeron” is similar to Communism; how everyone is forced have the same benefits and standards, no matter whoever had the better education, job, skill, or talent. According to Linda Labin in her examination of Vonnegut’s style and theme showed that Vonnegut wanted show a society that has fallen to lowest denominator, thus having to handicap the exceptional individuals; those would include the nonconformists and dreamers. The conformity shown in the story can be a reverse version of Nazi Germany, where Germany wanted to purge the “inferior” beings so that only the “superior” beings are left in society, US in 2081 wants to weaken the “superior” beings so that the “inferior” beings remain the main
The economy has no control over humanity, the reason for this will be since diseases, illness and injuries occur during any giving time. No one really has the chance to determine if they might or will be getting sick, no factors show unless it is results from blood work or symptoms flare up. Everyone wants to be serving with the best care and will seek for it
Marx and Engels used the term "scientific socialism" to describe the type of socialism they saw themselves developing. According to Engels, socialism was not "an accidental discovery of this or that ingenious brain, but the necessary outcome of the struggle between two historically developed classes – the proletariat and the bourgeoisie. Its task was no longer to manufacture a system of society as perfect as possible, but to examine the historical-economic succession of events from which these classes and their antagonism had of necessity sprung, and to discover in the economic conditions thus created the means of ending the conflict." Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels referred to all socialist ideas that were simply a vision and distant goal for society as utopian. Utopian socialists were likened to scientists who drew up elaborate designs and concepts for creating what socialists considered a more equal society.
There are not enough regulations and monitoring system for the daily accounting activities. For instance, management and auditors spend very little time reviewing the insignificance of petty cash account. So the five elements of internal control is not work well in this company. The control environment was not effective; there was no effective risk management, which helped the company to realize its objectives; control activities and monitoring are lack. Moreover, the CEO is ultimately responsible for the internal control who assumes primary responsibility for the system of internal control.
They may never see the same doctor twice. This is very important for many citizens who are paying for these managed care plans. “Managed care arrangements often control patients’ access to medical specialists, thereby restricting patients’ freedom to choose providers, and obtain the medical services they desire.” (Jecker) This can lower the quality of care that an individual with managed health care
Too many Americans are forced into bankruptcy due to high out-of-pocket medical care expenses” (Miller 3). It just doesn’t feel right to these citizens that basic healthcare is outside of their reach just because they have lost their job or chose a career path that was not as profitable as some others may have chosen. After all, every job must be done and not everyone can be among the elite. However, that should not mean that the people who do the lower class jobs should suffer medically. This is the argument that is the backbone of those who press for a universal healthcare
