Jamal’s writing became amazingly good and William was able to see himself as an actual person rather then just an author. This effected him so much he not only went to Scotland, but left Jamal everything he owned, including his writing, the most precious thing to him. “Finding Forrester” did all of this realistically, without making the story hard to understand. Overall this is a very good movie that will leave you in wonder at the extent of a young boys talent, and at the same time have you guessing at the true feelings of William Forrester. I rate this movie an 8.5/10 for its clean plot flow, in depth characters, engaging story, and lack of clichés.
Crystal Mendez From Elvis to J-Lo: 50 Years of Pop Music Jill Van Nostrand Early Legends of Rock ‘n Roll Another Legend is Elvis Presley, the phenomenon, Elvis, changed the music, film, and television world forever. He had 149 different albums and singles that became certified gold, platinum, or multi-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). 18 of his songs went to number one on the charts totaling 80 weeks. He took many influences throughout his life, combined it, and ratified the way music will be used forever. To put a cherry on top of this sundae would be to also mention that 40%, almost 1/2) of his record sales, was outside of the United States.
Best Movie Ever O Brother, Where Art Thou? is a very fine movie, in fact, it is one of the greatest movies ever made. The movie has every aspect that is needed to make a great movie and it is all put together very well. In my opinion it is the best movie that has ever been made, not just one of the best, the best. It is a story of amazing fellowship between three men who were on a prison farm together and escaped off to find a treasure.
Some of his most acclaimed work has been from movies that were based on true stories. When Washington does these real life stories he finds characters that have over come many difficulties in their lives and end up winning. So by Washington starring in roles where he always ends up a winner he is creating an image in the viewers mind that he is a winner. When the audience leaves the movie they remember what great things Washington did to turn out the way he did. Many people have a hard time separating movies from the real world and some people assume the character is that person in real life Denzel Washington is the first African American male to win an Academy Award for the Best Male Actor category.
Starr played key roles in the Beatles' films and appeared in numerous others. After the band's break-up in 1970, he released "It Don't Come Easy", "Photograph" and "Back Off Boogaloo", followed by the 1973 top ten album Ringo. He narrated the first two seasons of the children's television series Thomas & Friends. Since 1989, he has successfully toured with twelve variations of Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band. In 2011 Rolling Stone readers named Starr the fifth-greatest drummer of all time.
Although he was quite young to be part of the greaser’s gang, Ponyboy Curtis showed many people that he could have been one of the greatest hero’s in the novel. Ponyboy is one of the few people in the story who respected others as well as Socs and did not enjoy fighting. Throughout the story, Ponyboy ponders the question, ‘why people in both the Greaser’s and Soc’s gang enjoyed fighting’. The answers he received which were, “It’s fun” or “It’s for pride” or even “because we hate the Socs”. Ponyboy thought this was just an act of self-defence.
In 1999, Tom Hanks was arguably as big as any movie star had ever been. He was coming off of Oscar-wins for Philadelphia and Forrest Gump, plus Apollo 13 (nominated for nine Oscars) and Saving Private Ryan (nominated again for Best Actor). Following in the footsteps of great actors like Daniel Day Lewis, Hanks chose a character with a crippling physical affliction for his next role in an Oscar contender. Unlike any character other than Beavis and Butthead in that episode where they forgot how to pee, that physical affliction was painful urination. Well there's your problem right
It was one of the best books I’ve ever read. I loved Tim Tebow before reading this book. After reading it my respect for him as a person and an athlete has done nothing but increase greatly. He is an awesome person that uses his platform to glorify God. I really like his outlook on God given talents.
He was a hard worker and a great role model. He is known for countless things. Elvis is known for his amazing movies, his catchy songs and many more accomplishments he had in his lifetime. Elvis Aaron Presley was born on January 8, 1935. Elvis was supposed to be a twin but, Jesse Garon was stillborn.
His debut solo album of 1972, Got To Be There, started a string of hits, and he eventually parted company with his brothers in 1981. Michael's reputation grew as a songwriter, dancer, choreographer and producer. Using innovative techniques and special effects, he created music videos that seemed more like mini-movies. Accompanying his landmark 1982 album Thriller, was a 13-minute film that was influenced by classic Hollywood horror movies. Thriller is still among the biggest-selling albums in history, with sales of more than 45 million worldwide.
