Society in America believes that an adult cannot be happy unless they eventually have children because it creates a purpose to life. Men and women are now having children at older ages but the majority (eighty percent) of adults are eventually having kids. We encourage people who cannot have children to go through in vitro fertilization or to adopt, but why do they need to have a child? Can’t they be happy without any children?
In a poor socioeconomic group, students are more likely to drop out of school; this happens since the environment around them does not allow them to achieve an academic goal or have parents who support them. The government should implement more programs to help in the contribution for poor families. With poverty, children can experience stress or depression, hence, not obtaining a career.

The other side claims that year round school is essential for some, since student often forget a lot during the summer break. Nonetheless, Year round school is definitely not the answer, because it creates family conflict, it creates social problem, and it takes away job opportunities for students during the summer. Year round schooling has been reported to create family conflict due to the change in schedule. The reason why this has become a controversy for families, because children may not be on the same schedule as their sibling. One sibling might be enjoying his or her two month break while the other has to sit in class working.

There are many reasons why teenagers should give their babies up for adoption. If babies are left with teenage mothers, there is a chance that they will be neglected and won’t have a very stable life. If the parent chooses to look after the child, they might not be able to afford it and they might have to drop out of school. Raising a baby is very time consuming and this makes it difficult for the parent to work. Whereas, if the child is adopted the mother can work, get an education and spend time with friends.
The courts may force the one spouse to pay alimony to the other spouse for a certain duration period after divorce to enable the spouse in need to find a job and gain some of the skills back. Many years ago it was more common for the man to pay alimony to his wife, but in today’s world women are becoming more financially secure and make up a large part of the work force and no longer devote their time to being the primary caretaker (Denolyn 56). This astoundingly high number means that men are being denied the opportunity to become positive role models in their children's lives.
The sole provider in a single parent home often does not have the ability to work a full time job or rather obtain a job with a high paying salary. Risman states, “Women who become single mothers are especially likely to have inadequate wages… because the shortage of publicly subsidized child care makes it difficult for them to work full time.” Although single parent households with the provider working full time has a much higher chance of not living in poverty, working full-time, as Thompson states in her article, leaves less time to spend with your child.
