Fantasy on Our Life Since the beginning of human life, we live in our reality; we accept it as an individual which will never change. Beside the reality, there are also desires, fantasies. They are inseparable from human life and have a relationship between them but they are also very different than each other. Desires are the motivation thought that leads us to an action. Desire is much more reasonable compared to fantasy which is the reflection of more discrete thoughts. Those are the expression of what we want to do in normal life but we are afraid to do. That’s why it’s easier to express our desire than our fantasies Desires are leading us through life, they have a purpose and we try to reach them but in fantasies there is only personal satisfaction. In our life, desire is more anterior than fantasy and they are more real and natural than the artificial fantasy which is a manifest of real. But fantasies are the leader of our desire as Jacques Lace’s most known quote “Fantasy is the support of desire, it is not the object that is the support of the desire”. In the entire books we have read in class, any character has a normal life. They are all different than the other people. They all share some passions, desires and fantasies, its reason is that they are not satisfied by life and everything that surrender them because their physiology and their personal properties gives them no choice but to fantasies. The character which appeared in our book Perfume is someone different than any other person in the world. He has a very sensitive sense of smell. That specialty makes him different than us. After leaving his master Grenouille takes a trip to a village where he can learn more about making perfume of everything in the nature.
