This is a wakeup call for fad diets and extreme workout that are harming teens. We understand that we all have a job to do when it comes to making sure all active sports are safe for our kids. We need to know that what our teens eat and drink will keep them safe on and off the field. Problem: Fad diets are unsafe in sports and everyday life for teens. The industry makes what they look like seem more important than our teens’ health. The industry has also shown us that skinny is in and is expected from every teen. To be the best and look the best at all cost is what people today push for. Teens are now picking up todays’ bad habits. Solution: We must teach teens to see themselves in a healthy light. Schools and coaches must change the way they push teens to succeed by changing eating habits, work out practices, and getting more parent involvement. The health of our teens can change. The Purpose: Today’s teens are lost in the world. From teens wanting to look and be just like models in magazines, to football players and baseball players wanting to hit further and play harder, so they take unsafe proteins and creatinine products to reach their performance goal. And it doesn’t stop there where wrestlers who use crash dieting, just to make the level of weight to compete. To help try to solve this problem, we must teach our teens a better way of dieting and the value of healthy eating in the long run. We also need to work on a way
