The band hired Travis Barker; drummer for supporting act The Aquabats after Travis learned the bands 45 minute set in 20 minutes during a tour date. Just two years later Blink 182 had released their third album titles Enema of The State, this album is acclaimed to be what sent Blink 182 into the height of their popularity and the biggest pop-punk act of the era. Three singles released from the album “What’s My Age Again?” “All The Small Things” and “Adam’s Song” all featured major commercial success. Enema Of The State had reached multi-platinum status in almost no time at all Later after Blink’s first major arena tour and cameo appearance on hit film American Pie, the band released their fourth studio album in 2001 named “Take Off Your Pants And Jacket” which debuted at number 1 in Canada, USA and Germany. The singles “First Date” and “The Rock Show” continued the bands mainstream success.
Concert Critique – Dave Matthews Band - 31 August 2012 The Dave Matthews Band is one of the most popular touring bands in the United States of America and enjoys a huge following. The original members of the band are Dave Matthews (acoustic guitar/lead vocals), Carter Beauford (percussion, back-up vocals), Boyd Tinsley (violin), and Stefan Lessard (bass). Jeff Coffin (saxophone) joined the band in 2008 after founding member, LeRoi Moore died in 2008 from complications from a motor vehicle accident. Each summer, since the late 1990’s, The Dave Matthews Band embarks on a cross-country tour that draws hundreds of thousands of fans and loyal listeners. On August 31st, 2012, the band played an outdoor concert at the Gorge Amphitheater in George, Washington, playing a 25-song set, almost 3 hours in length.
The band consists of Fher Olvera, is the vocalist and the one who founded the band in 1985. The other member’s of the band are Alex Gonzalez who plays the drums, Juan Calleros who plays bass guitar, and the last added member to the band is Sergio Vallin who plays electric guitar. He was 17 when he joined Boyzone, having answered an advertisement placed by local entrepreneur Louis Walsh. The fast-talking Walsh had observed the huge success of Take That (an outfit itself modelled on American boyband New Kids On the Block) and was seized with the urge to launch an Irish equivalent. After auditioning 300 hopeful applicants, including future Hollywood star Colin Farrell, Walsh settled on a prototype six-piece line-up. Only a day after their formation, the group were hastily shoved in front of the cameras on RTÉ's The Late Late Show, dancing to a pre-recorded backing track, in a performance that later on brought blushes to the participants' faces. After some reshuffling, Boyzone settled into a stable five-piece format, featuring Gately alongside Ronan Keating, Shane Lynch, Mikey Graham and Keith Duffy.

Following their time touring as The New Yardbirds, the issue of coming up with a new band name arose. One account of how the new band's name was chosen held that Keith Moon, member of The Rolling Stones, suggested that the group would go down like a “lead balloon”. The group dropped the “a” in lead, so that those unfamiliar with the phrase would not pronounce it “leed”. The word “balloon” was transformed into “zeppelin” exaggerating the humourous situation.

Lang had experience as a promoter and had already organized the largest festival on the East Coast at the time, the Miami Pop Festival, which had an estimate of about 100,000 people to attend the two day event. In April 1969, Creedence Clearwater Revival a band that had just become famous were the first act to sign a contract for the event, agreeing to pay $10 000. Creedence drummer Doug Clifford commented, “Once Creedence signed, everyone else jumped in line and all the other big acts came on.” Woodstock was designed as a money making deal, titled ‘Woodstock Ventures’ it became a free concert after it became obvious that the event was attracting hundreds of thousands of more people than the organizers had prepared for. Although all four of them remained busy with their own projects, they often crossed paths. One night they briefly reunited for a one-song performance on the spur of the moment at a Los Angeles club. This spontaneous gig went over so well that they soon became a regular presence on the Hollywood club circuit under their new name, Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Concert Report “Take Me Home: A John Denver Tribute” On November 17, 2011 at 7:30 PM I attended “Take Me Home: A John Denver Tribute at the Redondo Union High School auditorium located at 631 Vincent Street in Redondo Beach, California. The venue is a high school auditorium which has recently been renovated and includes new seating with a capacity of approximately 1,400. The program lasted approximately 2 hours with a 20 minute intermission. The music style is country folk but at one time it was considered folk pop music. The music played was that of the late John Denver plus some original compositions by Jim Curry, the principal of this performance.
Woodstock was three days of music and peace. It started August 15,1969. With over half a million people who attended, it is known today as the greatest rock concert ever! The concert was on a huge farm, which was the perfect size. The police was sure they would have it prepared, but unfortunately they were not ready for 500,000 people, but what made Woodstock so special?
