Sometimes even having that may not get you a good enough job to provide for your family. The way prices are for things now a day it’s hard for anyone to provide for their family living in poverty would only make things worse. I feel for the people who may not be able to read or write. It makes me want to help them because those are basic skills to even get a job in general and without those that’s not possible to obtain a job. The fact that they say if you grow up in poverty you are more than likely to stay in poverty when you get older makes me feel for them even more because that means the kids that grow up may not know the difference and may grow up thinking that’s how they are supposed to live, unless they have friends that are in the middle class or above they may never know what it’s like to not be in poverty.

Many people believe that all you really have to do is exercise in order to burn off the calories that have been consumed throughout the day. However, it’s not that simple since there are other factors to consider. These foods that these children eat are not healthy and don’t have the nutrients that are needed for growing kids. Trying to exercise the calories away won’t do much since they already have a poor diet. They increase their levels of sugar, sodium and fats.
When the requested products were finally available in the stores, the prices of the products were very high and the product variety was extremely limited. The high prices of the products made these unaffordable for a large part of the customer base. The limited variety of the requested food products gave customers very few options in healthier food choices. The decision by Company Q management to throw out day-old food products, instead of donating these to the local Food Bank again highlights the lack of social responsibility towards the community in which Company Q does business. 1.1 Poverty is a key element of the Every Child Matters Framework. One of the five outcomes says; every child should ‘achieve wealth and economic well-being’. This outcome means it is important to make sure that children, parents, families, carers and local community have a role in improving children’s outcomes and reducing effects of poverty. There are many reasons why a child/ children live in poverty, there is a link between employment and poverty. If one parent or neither parent’s are working, a family can still be in a low income bracket.
Children growing up in poverty face many disadvantages such as unhealthy levels of stress making it near impossible to successfully complete college, thus making it harder to escape their surroundings. The poverty rates in some European countries are much lower than in the United States because of programs they have put into place to help the poor and unlucky, leading one to think the government should once again re-declare the war on poverty. Krugman’s article not only shows percentages he also lets his readers know what the findings were from scientific studies. Living in the conditions of poverty is stressful for anyone, much less children. I see the effects that poverty has on many people every day, and always think one day that could be me.
Why? Because low income family’s have a hard enough time supporting themselves, therefore parents are much less likely to donate to the school, volunteer for school meetings, or fund raisers, and also attracts lower performing teachers. There have been many tests and revisions in schools with firing teachers, to having new teaching models to try and improve the educational achievement of poor students, but to no
