Employers have the right to make business decisions based on legitimate and non-discriminatory reasons. Most organisations tend to emphasis on individuals who best fit their organisational culture when employing. Organisations also enjoy exploring new immigrants to Canada as one person is given a job that requires more than one individual to complete, and still get paid at minimal. My first job here in Canada, was with an investment organisation within the administrative department. This job was a very demanding job which required a mass amount of work completed within a split time limit. The training received within that organisation was rather poor and informal, new staffs were trained by senior staff and there was also a time limit attached. The working environment was rather a diverse one with a combination of individuals of different background, races, religion and culture. Mostly all individuals accents differed from each other which most times made it difficult to understand when spoken. More than half the team members were non-whites, with educational and job experience which differed from that of Canadians. Training offered by the organisation was insufficient, causing persons to rely on their team mates for assistance with their work assignment causing ciaos and disturbances also delaying production limit. As there was a rapid growth within the organisation with employees of different racial backgrounds, job security became an issue. There were more female employee’s present as opposed to men but it remained that because of the quality and quantity of work males contribute with few family interruptions their positions were more secured as opposed to that of a female employee. Although the male employees performed the exact task as a female the pay rate set for the male differed from the female employees. This caused unbearable stress to
