01.01.14 Dear my Grandchild, In this moment I hold you in my arms and I am grateful that you have been born today. I expect you are a relatively grown up young adult now and have already had many experiences of your own that were both good and bad. Although it is difficult for me to relive the memories I am about to tell you, I know it is of great importance for you if you are ever going to try to understand who I am or by the time you are reading this, who I was. Also, it comforts me to leave this world knowing I have left you with a message that is very significant to my life and I. The information I am sharing with you is only knowledgeable to me due to my experience in WW2 as a Jewish prisoner in the Nazi concentration camp of Buchenwald, Germany. It will be your guiding angel, the light at the end of the darkness. My spirit was my future, and my future is you. So for that I may thankyou, as you and your birth is a confirmation for me that hope is real and that I was right to hold on, even though I was holding on to something so uncertain. One may call me crazy for believing in hope and future goodness, but the outcome and success has proved them wrong. My darling, your life is only just beginning and so you are only just beginning to learn the art of breathing and living. You are here on earth and so during your life I want you to remember my story and remember you always have the strength to perpetuate your life and prolong the survival of your human spirit.
