It derives from a passage in the Bible which states, “He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him.” Proverbs 13: 24 Discipline shows a child that they are not above reproach and that they are responsible for their own actions. Children are born instinctively with the understanding of “I am right, you are wrong, and I will do what I please”. But as parents it our sole purpose from the child’s very first breathe to imbed all of what we know and believe to be right in order to survive and flourish in the world around us into them. The Bible also states, “Folly is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod will drive it far from him.” Proverbs 22:15 I myself am a believer in the Christian faith and what I have learned from my belief I firmly stand by. A “spanking” is not the only form of punishment I use, but I feel it is appropriate in times of clear defiance.
Explain moral relativism. (25 marks) The theory of moral relativism is an ethical approach to situation ethics which asserts that there are no universally true moral principles, as all moral principles held by a person or society are relative to their circumstances, culture and religion - this means that there are no actions which are and will always be wrong. Instead, if an action seems good to you then for you it is morally right and vice versa, however there is no way that we are able to objectively identify which opinion is the correct one. A soft form of moral relativism is Cultural Relativism which states that moral codes differ from culture to culture or from religion to religion, for example some cultures believe polygamy or arranged marriages to be morally right, whereas a catholic society would believe that monogamy is the only moral way of life. Subjective Relativism on the other hand is a much more extreme stem of moral relativism as it is based on the view of an individual alone and therefore then can be absolutely no debate as all values are relative.
However, the case files reflected face-to-face contact with all of her clients, despite what her clients stated. When Shannon investigated further, she found that the client notes were all at the same day and time, which is unlikely. Further, several of Janet’s clients needed referrals for counseling, but Janet never completed them and has not followed up to ensure her clients are receiving the necessary services. Janet is a close friend of Shannon. Shannon does not want to get Janet in trouble but realizes something must be done.
Instead the company disciplined yet not the warehouse employees she was speaking with. The company took no measures to help fix the poor performance of an excellent employee whose work declined at a rapid pace instead they made changes to her work to that would directly cause her performance to suffer. Fortin was praised for her work only months before
Ethical Dilemma Paper By: Lucia Plaza CRJ/ 324 Instructor: PAUL NOEL 29 September 2014 Ethical Dilemma Paper We tend to see our leaders as role models and follow by their example. Our parents are the first models that we look to and learn to show respect and honor. As we grow older we start to see and notice that there are other role models that we should strive to be like. Parents always try to teach their children that if they ever find themselves in any trouble and no one is around to help, they can always dial 911. Police officers are not only leaders but role models to the general public as well.
Some are earlier than others and some must be later. In the short story, "The Most Powerful Question a Parent Can Ask..." by 'Neil Millar' shows the most respectful approach of parents to their children because when they talk to their children, they make them understand in a calm voice and not be all tensed which will just confuse the child. Also they make their children understand by not forcing them to do chores, but telling them how responsibility will grow on you later in life, and eventually you will have to learn it at some point of life. They explain to their kids much more in a depth concept which makes their kids want to learn so they will be well prepared for the future. "Parents are guides and leaders to their children, not a nanny."
Readers can learn to follow the examples of the good parent and they can now avoid doing bad things to their own children. Atticus and Calpurnia had done their part as great parents and surely Jem and Scout would grow up to be good parents themselves. But for Bob Ewell, his children would probably grow up thinking that what their father did to them was a good act and they will follow his examples, thus making them bad parents and bad examples for their future children. A good parent will never let their children be astray from the right path and will always try to teach them the right ways and how to be good parents themselves in the
The bible says to train up a child in the way that they should go, but how am I supposed to train without training? I love my baby
I asked if I can talk to a manager after she left and told the manager what happened, the manager said thank you for that information. The next time I was able to go in dressed up like me and not in sweats I requested that I do not have that lady as my waiter. Never seen this coming and the greeter told us that she no longer works there I was very shocked. Explain what you think the small business owner should have done differently. ( Longenecker, Petty, Palich, Hoy, 2012) I do not think that the business owner could have done anymore than what they actually did.
In psychology there are six different approaches to describe the behavior of humans. The approach that is the most logical is the behavioral approach. This approach says that “we are the product of learning and association”, in other words, whatever our parents teach us as children, is how we construe what is right from what is wrong. Two important psychologists that believed in this approach were B.F. Skinner and John B. Watson. Watson wrote a parenting book because he believed that if you raised your children right, then they would not have any psychological issues later in their lives.
