`Jasmin Medellin Yanez+ ENGL 1322 03 Professor Avery October 26, 2016 Outline Intro On January 20, 2013 President Obama swore into office for his second term as 44th President of the United States. The next day he publicly delievered his second inaugurations speech in which the theme was " Faith in Americas Future" and said " while freedom is a gift from God, it must be secured by His people here on Earth". He then delivered his immigration speech a week later in Las vegas. The speech in which he used the same rhetorical devices as martin luther kings speeches, and the same as kennedys inauguration speech to state his claim how progress is needed more on equality to achieve more effectiveness in pushing for immigration reform. He used it through out his speech to show the people how big the issue really is. Obama brought his grounds up by saying "Right now, we have 11 million undocumented immigrants in America; 11 million men and women from all over the world who live their lives in the shadows" With all those people here he wants to point out how to fix the economy around the immigrants. With statistical numbers that big, the issue needs to be fixed already. All these people here are to better their life and are contributing to America. His warrant is the only solution for there to be is to place an immigration reform. Obama brings up " One in four small businesses is built by immigrants", with the use of logos in this it helps with not only letting people know the facts but helps target two audiences. American citizens and the immigrants that are in the U.S. It helps with letting american citizens think how the economy is made up by immigrants while at the same time americans are beinfiting from it, and it also targets the immigrants in wanting to stay here in America and to let them know they in fact are contributing to our
