The Chinese exports are made from imported materials, so by pegging the value to the dollar, China checks its risk when it comes to foreign exchange. A cost of pegging the value is that the U.S. dollar’s movement will influence the Chinese economy either way. Moreover, another benefits of pegging the value of the yuan against the U.S. dollar is in which China expanded to own trade deficit to a record $160 billion in 2004 with United States. 2-) Over the last decade, many foreign firms have invested in China and used their Chinese factories to produce goods for export. If the yuan is allowed to float freely against the U.S. dollar on the foreign exchange markets and appreciates in value, how might this affect the fortunes of those enterprises? If the yuan is allowed to float freely against the U.S. dollar on the foreign exchange markets and appreciates the value, foreign enterprises would not benefit when trying to export out of China.

The economic difficulties facing Italy after WWI were the greatest challenge for the Liberal government. To what extent do you agree with this statement? Yes I would agree with this statement to the extent that economic problems did prove to be a challenge to the Liberal government. However I could argue that other factors facing Italy after the war also caused difficulties and some may even be seen as being of a greater challenge for the government. Economic issues arose after the war, Italy had occurred massive debts throughout the war-time as they had spent 148 billlion Lire which meant they had spent twice as much during the war as they had spent during the previous fifty years.
I seems that the most heavily weighted subject of the auto bailouts is the concern about the enormous numbers of jobs that would be lost if a bailout is not approved. The Nation talks in depth about the dire need of passing a bailout because of job losses, estimating the potential number of those to be unemployed if it is not passed at three million (20). The Pew Research Center actually lays out in detailed numbers the weight that the auto industry carries for employment. This publication states that 1 in 10 jobs rely on the auto industry, equating to 2.3 million Americans, or roughly 2% of the workforce. Although both publications indicate the large number of jobs to potentially be lost, The Pew Research Center article provides much greater clarity of the impact.
The United States is currently digging its way out of the worst recession in recent history. Government spending and deficits have reached staggering highs while the current tax system has had both sides of the isle up in arms, and calling for reform. The US needs a means of generating enough revenue to begin to truly tackle its mounting deficit, while at the same time encouraging growth in the private sector and catering to a public still hurting from the economic downturn. The solution may lie within the value added tax. The value added tax or VAT is a consumption based tax that is widely used throughout many industrialized nations.
More stress, chaos, and contact among inmates and staff. I believe this is a bad bill because of the increase in expenses. It is about $25,000 dollars to house one inmate per year. Just think about how much it will cost Government officials to house beyond over populated prisons. For example, if the maximum prison term for armed robbery is 15 years and that conviction is doubled, the city has to pay for an extra 15 years of housing to inmates.
