Abstract- Due to explosive growth in multimedia technology and its applications, it has escalated the necessity to build secure methods for legal distribution of the digital content. At present need for protection against unauthorized copy and distribution has increased. Thus, there raised apprehensions over copyright protection of digital contents. Solution to this problem is Digital Watermarking, which is the most common and possibly strongest technique for protecting digital data. Digital watermarking is the process of embedding information into a digital signal. The signal may be audio, pictures or video. FUTURE WORK Biometric images are taken lively from the site and then watermarking would be performed on it. It would be matched with the images of biometric images already stored in the database. The main challenge is that, the representation of the same fingerprint changes every time the finger is placed on the sensor plate, increasing the complexity of any attempt to match fingerprints, impairing the system performance and consequently, limiting the widespread use of this biometric technology. In the present model, only threshold is being considered. In next phase parameters such as luminance and chrominance would be considered and then different wavelets would be applied.
