End of Course Reflection Regina Browning EXP105 Personal Dimensions of Education Steve Dashiell September 29, 2014 End of Course Reflection When I first started this course, my definition of learning was the way we take in and process information. After completing this course I would have to add to that definition. I would now explain learning as the way we take in, process and respond to information and stimuli. This course has taught me a lot about myself and the way I learn. I have learned about my Learning Patterns and how to use them in a way that is not only beneficial to my success as a student, but in the tasks of everyday life. Upon completion of the LCI, I found that I am a Dynamic learner. I use Sequence(32) and Precision(27) at a Use First level and avoid Technical Reasoning(16) and Confluence(15). The levels that I use these Patterns affect the way I learn, approach tasks and solve problems. I pride myself on always being organized. I feel like my life is out of control when I do not have everything “together.” I always read instructions and look for examples. (S) I gather as much information as possible before making a decision. I will not give up on something that I strongly believe in or believe I am right about. I feel frustrated when I do not have the proper information needed to complete a task with precision. (P) I avoid anything technical. I would rather read about doing something than actually doing it. I like dealing with information, not tools. (TR) I do not like change. I like things a certain way. I feel very unsettled when things do not go as planned. I do not like taking risks or being out of my comfort zone. (C) Knowing my Learning Patterns helps me to understand my thought process when executing a task, making a decision or discussing an issue. I can use this information to adapt to the situation and act
