This is the main reason that a lot of people want to have the driving age raised. They think that when these teens are a little older, their risk of crashing will significantly decrease, making roads safer for all. The problem with this logic is that the main reason that this age group has the highest crash rate is that they are the least experienced. If the driving age is raised, the only thing that will change is the age group of the inexperienced drivers. Instead, a good idea would be to increase the amount of time a teen needs a permit for, in order to get more experience before actually getting a license.
It could be you or your loved one in that small fraction. Also just because someone’s life wasn’t taken from texting and driving doesn’t mean it hasn’t affected their life in some way or another. For example, most of these collisions that don’t end in death either in my brain injury, paralyzation and so on. Texting is one of the most dangerous things you can do on the road. I can almost guarantee you that without awareness of this issue these numbers will continue to rise.
Elderly drivers should have restrictions. If harsher driving restrictions were put on the elderly drivers, it would avoid accidents and injuries or even... death. Based on the fact that elderly drivers are dangerous, research has shown that everyone ages differently and growing old does not mean that a person becomes a safety hazard. It depends on the person’s physical and mental health. Our functions start declining such as visual impairment, cognitive changes, and reduction in strength and flexibility when we start growing old.
Teens who have jobs wont be able to drive to work, they will have to rely public transportation and their family and friends. Teens who go to college would have to do the same thing. For a female teen it can be very dangerous using public transportation at night, and even for a male, and it isn’t even available everywhere. I think this solution will do nothing but cause more problems than it will solve. Some people may even suggest that students just need better driver’s education classes, or maybe just more classes, or more time behind the wheel.
Another issue is reaction time. Many older drivers do lose reaction time, which is a potential threat to drivers and pedestrians around them. They should be tested not only to protect themselves but everyone around them. Both a road test and a knowledge test should be taken again. Also a vision and hearing test to ensure the person is qualified to drive.
Including airbags and safety systems used were disputed because will make a car heavy. The trade-off between safety and sustainability led to the second ethical problem that a light car will always come off worst in a crash with a heavier car so people in the light car will always be at a disadvantage. Trade-offs between safety and sustainability were made in which the mass of the car was usually given priority. Utilitarianism means maximizing happiness and reducing suffering among individuals of a society and the Engineers working at the DutchEVO car were more concerned about their new design instead of the moral and
security and severely drop the demand for fake IDs. Rising the drinking age hasn’t prevent underage drinking; it has caused 18-20 year olds to over drink and become addicted to alcohol. The drinking age should be lowered to 18 because when you turn 18 you earm so many rights, why not be able to drink and celebrate a little. Drunk driving is most common between the ages of 21-24 instead of 18-20 years old. When you are first allowed to drink is when people get inane and don’t know how to handle alcohol and driving.
I think this would be an effective deterrent for others who might consider drunk driving because they might not have been through the experience of alcohol yet, so don’t really know how to forget about the consequences unlike some of the individuals who have already forgotten about it, and only thinking about the good time alcohol provides. 5. No, the death penalty is not merited for drunk driving because although I would like to enforce it on all the drunk drivers in the world, it just doesn’t seem that reasonable. So, in my law, I came up with the idea to give them a warning of “death” so that they get very frightened. And I’d like to keep them alive so their mistake haunts them forever, and are constantly reminded of their consequences due to their actions…causing a family or loved one to feel such grief just because they wanted a fun night out and didn’t think anything bad would happen to them.

According to the Insurance Information Institute, insurers also consider local trends such as number of accidents and car thefts in areas where customers live. State Sen. Tim carpenter stated, “I don’t think good drivers should have to pay extra because other parts of the zip code, which could be miles away, may have higher crime rates or more irresponsible drivers. My bill will make sure that auto insurance premiums will be based upon the driver’s record, the years experience a driver has behind the wheel, and the miles driven, not by there zip codes.” With this new law premiums must be low enough that people can afford them and don’t end up and break the law. (Gores.1&2) Drivers in Milwaukee pay on average $1,044 in 2010, up from $979 in 2001. To people in Milwaukee, this new law is unfair.
