Education Is a Key to My Success

Life consists of a journey from youth to adulthood. My flight to becoming a successful adult is now boarding. I cannot assume that life provides me with a smooth first class flight to a luxurious destination. I may not have a flight attendant serving me peanuts. Life is full of challenges; I might experience a turbulent flight, and even need the motion discomfort bag! The best chartered course to success that I can navigate will be my education. Indeed, a solid education is my boarding pass to realizing m goals. Years before the Wright brothers invented the airplane, our founding fathers established this country, prioritizing equal rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. They allowed the ability to be “free to move about the cabin.” Our ancestors confirmed the privilege to pursue our dreams, but gave no guarantee that it would be easy. Over the centuries, education is the clearest flight plan to directly achieve one’s goals. We may not all inherit the same aircraft, but we possess the opportunity to reach great heights. For example, Abraham Lincoln did not take off in a luxury jetliner. Rather, he was born poor in a Kentucky cabin. Although he was given a cloudy start, education was his ticket to success. Reading by the fire, he educated himself to become a lawyer and a United States President. Currently, citizens who have earned their wings of success have chartered a course that includes a strong education. I would like to take off that same runway by studying biology and ultimately health care. My vision for a successful future includes a solid education via a strong worth ethic. There is no autopilot button. I must fasten my seat belt and buckle down, and prepare for my future goals. My flight may be lengthy, but I must remain seated until the aircraft comes to a complete stop. My brain might not be the speediest
