This is a painting that I did using natural dyes from berries and other plants found around Eaton Canyon Park. Ever since I was young, I like being in the wilderness. You are able to hear the sounds that insects make, the flowing water from the river, and smell the aroma from the diverse species of plants. Traveling around Eaton Canyon Park, I gathered a bunch of berries and some other plants. Using them, I created natural dye in order to paint this. The painting shows a human like bird picking berries to eat. It’s important to me because I used natural dye, which goes along with my love for nature.
