The light bulb in my bathroom was out.
By giving you no time instead of it all. Till the pain is so big you feel nothing at all” (John Lennon) The first three lines of the lyrics show how students in the US were vulnerable to adults’ control during the 1960s. “They hurt you at home and they hit you at school. They hate you if you’re clever and they despise a fool. Till you’re so fucking crazy you can’t follow their rules” (Lennon) Indeed, students at the time learned under a system and accepted the elite rule.

Our god is angered greatly every time he sees a kid with swag. Our god views Davis as the eighth deadly sin. Every year because there are so many of these kids, our god punishes them with bad sports teams and no school spirit. Davis sports teams are punished by losing many games, having winless seasons, and always lose to their rivals Ike. God’s wrath has sent their spirit to the depths
Rosie Anaya, a student in college wrote an essay last year about the physiological problems that affect our college students called, The Best Kept Secret on Campus. These problems can range from anxiety to depression to acute bipolar disorder. She talks about the staggering numbers of students with these problems and the lack of help from the universities. In this essay she states that a 2008 study found that “62% of students have experienced feelings of hopelessness, nearly 90% have felt overwhelmed or emotionally exhausted, nearly 50% have been so depressed they have trouble functioning, 15% have been formally diagnosed with depression and almost 10% contemplated suicide. These numbers are surprisingly high; however a vast majority of students are not receiving the help they need to deal with these major disabilities.
Erma, I know exactly how you feel. I was so overwhelmed when I sat down to try to get started and even though I am almost done with my essay, I can honestly say that this was one of the hardest assignments that I have ever had to do. I have always been bad at writing and I think I hurt my writing process by going in to this with the attitude that I was not going to do that well. I remember 5 weeks ago, just sitting in front of my computer screen and I could not think of one single thing to write. I chose the topic comparing traditional school to online school becasue I am in this situation and thought that it would be an easy thing to write about but now when I look back, I should have chose something that I didn't know anything about.

It’s very hard to type a paper or study for a test when you have a nine month old that wants to get into everything. I honestly think that is one of the stressors that get to me the most so I have decided to get a babysitter when I have very important things to do like a big test or project. Another stressor I face is living with another college student and only having one computer, it’s very hard to choose who gets the computer when we both have very important things to study. This also can lead to arguing; only causing more stress. We sat down and worked out a solution we ordered a new computer, we only hope this helps us get more college work done and in a timely manner leaving us with less stress.
