Even though Allen thinks that the Supreme Court wasn’t wrong in their decision, his opinion is very strong, as he suggests how people should treat the flag with respect because of its importance. Furthermore, the tone in both texts fits in with the context of the written
It has been related to theories such as ethical leadership and transformational leadership (Bass & Steidlmeir, 1999, p. 181). Within this framework, authentic leadership “focuses on the formation of authentic relationships between the leader and followers that are characterized by trust and integrity” (Gardner, Avolio, & Walumbwa, 2005, p. 389). Authentic leaders are true to their moral character and values. Since Chick-fil-A has a long established reputation as an honorable entity it can be derived that they are an ethical organization. They have universal values that incorporate spirituality, hope, and faith.
Number 1 stated that “…the resolution reaffirms that cultural rights are an integral part of human rights, which are; universal, indivisible, interrelated and interdependent.” I feel that this is a fare and right goal for applying to help mankind improve its interaction with other cultures. “Number 2 stated that we “…all recognize the right of everyone to take part in cultural life and to enjoy the benefits of scientific progress and its applications.” I think this is most important because we don’t want to leave anyone out. Number 3 reaffirms that, “…while the significance of national and regional particularities and various historical, cultural and religious backgrounds must be borne in mind, it is the duty of the State, regardless of its political, economic and cultural system, to promote and protect all human rights and fundamental freedoms.” The state is the right choice to make in heading up this task because it is the local government who would be best in implementing it with all the people. Number 4 stated that “… as expressed in the Universal Declaration on Cultural Diversity, no one may invoke cultural diversity to infringe upon human rights guaranteed by international law, nor to limit their scope.” True, the methods used for improving communication within different cultures
We value each other and treat each othe equally because we know we are different, but we each have something to offer the world. It makes us stronger as
Should we embrace Nationalism? Nationalism refers to people's sense of belonging and loyalty towards nation. For some people nationalism may refer as culture, identity, belief and ideas. It also rises from people’s history which share similar language, traditions and culture.nationalism may also develop as people fight to gain a unique identity . It creates a connection between a group of people with different beliefs ,ideas and traditions.Nationalism should be embraced to some extent because it has good and bad reasons. Effects of nationalism are good when it gives people pride and cultural heritage. It sometimes also creates satisfaction in people to do sacrifices for their nation. Its fine when people do something for their nation and people.Nationalism makes people proud of their country and inspires them to work hard, like in China people have more self-respect for their country that they want it to become economically stronger and get away from the feeling that they are a second rate country. Sometimes nationalism is not good because it gives tension among nations, when some nationalist desire something, like in 1990’s due to nationalism many states broke up in eastern Europe including Yugoslavia and soviet union.Feelings of nationalism at times have led to causes like genocide, for eg.
Another issue presented was the relationship between different races. He was a great influence for people to understand that the relationship with each other, without racial distinction, would help in their own growth, the community and the entire nation. The topics presented above are only some of which were outlined in the novel. Other of them is freedom, equality and
By being independent individuals we don’t have to wait on other peoples support or permission to do certain things. We don’t have to go out of our way to please somebody else because we do as we want. When we are independent our confidence meter starts to rise up, it gives us that extra boost of motivation we desire to achieve new things. I believe that we are the creators of our own life, that we all have the same power to start and finish new goals but only a few have the actual strength and correct mind set to do it. Equality 7-2521 says that “the guiding star is within me” and that it points to just one direction, and that direction is “me”.
Although I am proud for the commitment the love of my life has made for this country, I worry where that path is going to lead us. The United States
To others, pride can have a completely different definition. Being prideful can be as simple as being a solid individual, meaning this person is solid in their beliefs and little will change that. Once again, this is just a taste of the complexity when it comes to pride. I take pride in my work. Being prideful in the things that I do helps maintain the importance of why I am doing it in the first place.
The significance of names in reflecting identity. Ryu Vo, 12G2 They’re more than a bunch of letters grouped together to sound pleasant to the ear. Names are more than a convenience allowing us to talk to each other. Names are a gift .They contain power life and joy . They define things.
