High up in the mountains of Athens suddenly appeared a powerful and menacing fire serpent, Diavolos. Every twenty years, the dragon would ravage the lands of Greece and drive fear into all the civilians in the city-states of Greece. Such anger and hatred were all driven by a solid hatred for humanity. The fiendish creature’s destructive force burnt crops, homes, and Grecians to ashes in a matter of seconds. For centuries the dragon tore apart Greece, yet no one had managed to best it. Despite the mass amount of soldiers from across Greece who attempted to kill the beast themselves and bring peace to the land, every single individual failed and Diavolos continued it’s terror. His parents and many others told him that there was no chance of killing the beast, and Greece would retrogress into another Dark Age. However, the need for adventure, and the thirst for victory drove Angelos to train and train in order to be the one to beat Diavolos. Through his young years Angelos spent a great deal of time training with the best known swordsman in all of Greece,Sabre. Sabre taught Angelos skills and techniques that no one else had heard or even seen, and made the boy more and more powerful every day. After a decade of intense training, Saber knew that Angelos was a special boy, and had great potential stored inside of him. Every day, Sabre would tell Angelos that his sword would shine like the moon in a starless sky, and the sword screamed as it sliced straight through every log of wood.Eventually, Sabre told Angelos that he almost completed his training, and would be ready to face the beast in due time. Amazed, and horrified at the monster’s strength, Angelos courageously drew up his sword. Knowing that the battle may be his last, and charged headfirst at the dragon. The dragon then swiped at Angelos with it’s claws, and threw him into the ground. Angelos was doused in the dragons searing breath, but was unharmed. Shocked and rejuvenated, Angelos charged up to the dragon and fed his blade to the dragon’s flesh. Diavolos let out a painful screech, and lay still. With the lives of millions engraved in his sword, Angelos sunk his sword into the head of the dragon, knowing that the painful days of many Grecians had come to an end. As a souvenir, Angelos chopped off the beast’s head, and returned back to the Kingdom of Athens, with cheers ringing throughout the hills and valleys of the land. As Angelos returned to Sparta, he knew that everyone he had proved wrong were now cheering them on, and he bathed in their excitement. Decades later, Angelos died from old age, but his heroic deed and his legendary swordsmanship was still recognized and extolled throughout ancient
