Mr. Duvitch is indeed a good father this can be shown by three main actions that he took throughout the book. He works hard for his family providing them with food; he has so little but gives so much away and therefore a positive example for his children; and he puts all of his time and effort into his family. For these three main reasons and many more he is a great father. Firstly, Mr. Duvitch works hard for his family providing them with a source of income and food. This is shown in the story on page 6 when it says “Proudly, oh, so proudly, Mr. Duvitch exhibited the catch that would probably feed his family for the better part of a week: a fine mess of bass, perch and sunfish, all of them alive, as far as I could see, and swimming around in the oaken washtub in which they had been dropped.” This shows that he gives everything to feed his family, is proud of his contribution to his family and will endure endless mosquito bites and the burning sun in order to make his family happy.
He always loves to help others and teach good things to his children. He was also clever person because he knew who was right and who was wrong. He helped his contractor of his house by buying him a new truck so that he could be happy and work very hard to make his house strong. Victor and Joseph were always curious and used to ask a lot of questions to his father. That day also they ask him a question about whey was he buying the truck to his contractor.
One can push oneself too far and crumble. Many have walked it, and many have failed. The man is the exception. He realized his role as his son’s protector and dedicated himself to fulfilling that role. The gratification he gains from seeing his son grow and flourish throughout the novel has to be one of the most fulfilling experiences a parent can have.
Atticus Finch is the single parent of Scout and Jem, who places great importance on being a righteous and good man. Although Atticus is a widower, he is very responsible and takes care of his children by keeping a good job and hiring a good nanny to look after them when he works. He is a moral man that doesn’t ask for glory or credit and the way he loves his children reflects this virtue of him. Jem and Scout have great affection towards their father; every afternoon they run to meet him because they are excited to see him. Atticus is very caring and patient parent because he always makes time to read with his children and listen to every word they have to say.
Though Leo distrusts women he eventually found love. He continues to work daily and volunteer time in the community. Content with life, no major illnesses, and a loving family, Leo dreams of soon retiring and relaxing in his home oasis. He is 66 and finds it tough to be getting old, yet the comforts of his family make his life worthwhile. John Leo was extremely close to his maternal grandparents; they showed him love and kindness, which he did not receive at home.
In the two short stories it seems as if the sons’ relationships with their father were quite different, but they also had their similarities because both of them cared for their son. In the story “Powder” the father took good care of his son for he continually tried to give his son what he thought was best. He fought for the privilege to see his son after he already snuck him into a jazz club to see Thelonious Monk (Wolff 1). He was a good dad, for as his son says “He wouldn’t give up. He promised, hand on heart, to take good care of me and have me home for dinner on Christmas Eve” (Wolff 1).
Even though Lennie really bothers George at some points, he is a wonderfully loving and devoted friend and would never actually leave Lennie. He also seems to have a very short temper. He is always protecting Lennie. He lies to his boss at one point to make sure that Lennie got the job. Together, these two men have wonderful dreams.
This helps him find a way to cope with them may help you understand yourself more effectively. John is a man of strong moral beliefs any way he or she look at him, concerned only for the safety of his family and personal welfare. John Proctor is a big and strong man. He’s a man that everyone in the town looked up to. He is a loving husband, a hard working farmer, a proud father, and most important a faithful Christian.
He also had a clear goal of observing habits that led to success. By taking time to study himself as well as those around him, he was able to focus on self improvement. By doing so, he became a model for all, including both the poor and wealthy. "Franklin's entire life reflected his belief in self-improvement, and from adolescence until his death at eighty-four, he worked constantly to improve his mind, his body, and his behavior" (PBS 2002). Benjamin Franklin was Born in 1706 to a very large family.
He is a small but strong man that has sharp eyes, a dark of a face and looks to be in his 30’s. He has a confident personality; he is a smart, responsible and an ambitious person. During this novel we see how George is a caregiver, nourishes and sacrifices a lot for Lennie. Even though George is looking for an equal relationship and a steady job he can keep, he still doesn’t give up on Lennie. He has a lot of patience for him, because he knows that nobody else would want to take care of him, they’ll put Lennie in a cage and lock him up, like a wild animal and George he will feel the guilt if he lets that happen.
