They write that Macbeth emerges as a man who is “completely confident in his grab for power.” Lady Macbeth, the one who told Macbeth to simply wash the blood off of his hands, ends up roaming around in her sleep through “the castle corridors at night bemoaning her unclean hands following the murder of Duncan and his guards.” At first, Macbeth was a kind man, but he became “completely remorseless in his bid for the crown.” And Lady Macbeth was fixed upon power and prayed that spirits would help her by getting rid of her feminine aspects. At the end of the tragedy, she became “a guilt-ridden somnambulist.” The authors believe the source of their “role reversal revolves around the question of gender.” Lady Macbeth is the antecedent of her own role reversal. It is “her own desire for some sort of power and the attempted overthrow or altering of the patriarchal order of her society.” that orders a yielding role. Lady Macbeth was entirely inapt for this role. The only character to recognize that Macbeth has a feminine side is Macduff.
A king stumbles on an empty castle and the most beautiful dead woman he had ever laid his eyes on. From what many have seen, a kiss awakens the princess and they live happily ever after, however this version has a little more than that. The façade of lover’s first sight isn’t granted in this tale; in fact Talia isn’t even given the choice to fall in love. She is raped by the king that finds her and she gives birth to twins, later named Sun and Moon, all while she is still supposed to be dead. The ending is a happy one though.

Its mix of action, violence, and a love story with vivid scenes of Juan and his wife that made it a great film to see and left me sad when the movie came to an end. After all the twists I hoped for the happy ending but was stunned to learn that everything that could of gone wrong did. Eurydice was the wife of Orpheus, who loved her dearly; on their wedding day, he played joyful songs as his bride danced through the meadow. One day, a satyr saw and pursued Eurydice, who stepped on a venomous snake, dying instantly. Distraught, Orpheus played and sang so mournfully that all the nymphs and gods wept and told him to travel to the Underworld and retrieve her, which he gladly did. After his music softened the hearts of Hades and Persephone, his singing so sweet that even the Erinyes wept, he was allowed to take her back to the world of the living. In another version, Orpheus played his lyre to put Cerberus, the guardian of Hades, to sleep, after which Eurydice was allowed to return with Orpheus to the world of the living.

Her decision is the climax of the novel as it changes the future of every character. It places Catherine in a higher social class than Heathcliff, which to the two of them, seems impenetrable. As a young child Catherine lives a “mischievous and wayward” life with Heathcliff, however her time at Thrushcross Grange changes her forever (37). One day, Catherine Earnshaw plays with Heathcliff when she damages her ankle after the guard dog at Thrushcross Grange bites her. She is then forced to “[stay] at Thrushcross Grange five weeks” while her ankle heals (50).
Bridesmaids, can represent any bride to be about to endure the long journey of a wedding. Most females can relate to these movies because they can literally put themselves into the main characters high heels.
