You could have easily injured or killed someone else or yourself. On top of it all, you are to blame for causing the accident. The whole situation could have been avoided if you had waited until you reached your destination before looking at your phone. Distracted driving has become a serious problem within the past decade due to the prevalence of distractions such as portable music players, talking on cell phones, and text messaging. A split second glance away from the road is all it takes for disaster to strike while driving.
There would be no quick rescue here. I told Alexis to turn off the headlights and lock the doors until I returned. Outside the car, Alexis heard a shriek, a loud thump, and a strange gurgling noise. But she couldn't see anything in the darkness. Frightened, she shrank down into her seat.
The car misses the student but slides and crashes into the pole for the traffic signal. Terry and Shaun are hurt but survive as both were restrained by their seat belts in the front bucket seats. However, Jane was sitting in the back and was not wearing her lap belt (she hated lap belts and they did not fit right with her skirt). Jane was ejected from the car and
“Help me, please” the woman cried with pain. There was a lot of blood on her head and arms. He didn’t feel anything except freezing. “I could have taken my coat” he thought. He gets into his car and didn’t help the woman.
For example, it distracts a person while driving a car on a busy road, instead of focusing their attention to what is happening on the road, this person is busy texting, and this person causes a huge accident which ends up in the death of the three people just because he was using his cellphone while driving, in addition when people are on their cellphones while crossing the street and the light turns green on the side adjacent to the side of the street that they are crossing, because that person is so distracted by their electronic device they do not even notice that the light has changed, and they may end up getting hit and killed by a speeding car turning from that adjacent lane. Most importantly, it distracts the people from the reality of the world that they are living in today, in some cases I think it either clouds their mind or disillusions their thought process and/or the way they perceive society and that everything that they see in today’s world are as they seem. The second reason as to how electronic devices are harming society is by creating a problem where there otherwise was none before. One good example of this is by people using there electronic devices to go on Facebook and other social network sites and putting up illegal pictures of money that that particular person just robbed from a local bank. Which lead the
Stop Texting & Driving Purpose: To persuade my audience to stop using their cell phones while driving a vehicle because it is irresponsible and extremely dangerous. Specific Purpose: Using a cell phone while driving is not only dangerous to you, but others on the road and is one of the top reasons today for car accidents. Attention Grabber: How many people here have texted while driving? I am like most people where I have texted while driving, but after I got into an accident a couple years back because I was distracted by texting, I rethought the level of importance of texting while driving. (show picture of my car) this is the result of what happened to me when I was texting on my way home from work a couple weeks ago.
Texting while driving is an up rising issue in today’s society. The fact that people are too busy texting rather then paying attention to what really matters is critical. By not paying attention to the road can cause deaths or even serious injuries to other people. Through the use of logos, ethos, and pathos the photograph below shows what may happen if you’re more worried about a text rather then the actual road. Logos The graphic that I choose to describe that people should not text and drive, was photographed by the Zain Company.
Driving is commonly the most dangerous thing anyone does across the world. There are so many factors when driving that could make it a life or death situation. The number one issue with driving is teenage drivers they are more dangers because of the irresponsibility. All the teenagers text and drive and they think it is cool not to wear a seatbelt. This day in life teens think more narrow minded and less about the big picture.
People start to curse and get all infuriated. Also, I have seen car accidents from people just driving straight into the slow driver’s car. Safe driving rules state that the right lane is for slower moving vehicles and the left lane is the passing lane. You might think that this is just a belief and not reality but from outside research it’s awfully realistic. It’s such a problem that legislators are stepping in and trying to pass bills and laws.
Imagine you are behind the wheel of your vehicle, driving and your phone goes off because you just received a text message and you decide to grab your phone really quick read it and respond to the text message because you do this all the time and nothing has ever happened before and boom you just hit a vehicle. You ran a red light because you weren’t paying attention to the road and your attention was on your cell phone replying to a text message. Now you hear sirens, and emergency vehicle lights, people are screaming, and there is blood everywhere all because you were texting and driving. Texting and driving is a very serious matter in our society today and with technology advancing everyday it looks like this matter is just going to get worse. Texting and driving is six times more dangerous than driving while intoxicated.
