Life in the country is far superior to life in the city, in almost every way. There are many reasons that I have found to support my belief that life is simply better in areas outside of the city, mostly because there is less violence, stress, and pollution than city life. In addition to the reasons listed above, there is a greater sense of community between neighbors in the country than I experienced in the city and they basically treat people as if they were family. The lifestyle that is available in rural areas is just an all-around better life than you will find in any overcrowded city I have ever seen in the United States. If you have never lived in the country you really just do not know what you are missing. First in the list of major differences between country and city life, I have noticed that there seems to be much less violence in rural areas than you will find in an urban area. There is much less gang activity and organized crime to begin with. This is most likely due to the fact that there are fewer troubled young men in the country than there are in the big city. Less troubled youth also means that there are fewer gangs in the country than in the city, because there are less people to band together and create a gang in the first place. Less gang activity also means that there are far fewer acts of random violence in the country when compared to the city. Also there is the fact that people watch out for each other better in the country, and if somebody sees something happen that is out of the ordinary, they tend to remember the incident vividly and are usually able to perfectly describe or even name the person they saw doing it. Having less violence while living in the city also plays hand-in-hand with the next topic of discussion, stress levels involved with life in the city versus life in the country. In
