The least restrictive interventions must be used as it is very intimidating to someone who is vulnerable and unable to get control of themselves. It can feel like violation. Going in 'heavy handed' can escalate a situation and end up doing more damage. e.g. if Bob is showing body language changes as in his facial expressions are showing anxiety and tension then it does not work for us to start giving orders or using nonviolent restraint because maybe a supportive staff response would help Bob became less anxious and tense.
Gone but Not Forgotten Losing someone or something you love or care deeply about is very painful. A person may experience all kinds of difficult emotions and it may feel like the pain and sadness that they are experiencing will never let up. These are normal reactions to a significant loss. But while there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there are healthy ways to cope with the pain that, in time, can be renewed and help someone move on. Dealing with this pain can cause a person to become stronger or unfortunately can affect them negatively.
If the individual is under constant verbal abuse for their poor hygiene it will more often than not result in the person feeling unconfident from low self esteem, which can lead to depression and isolation. Task 2: Knowing how to encourage an individual to maintain personal hygiene. ⦁ When it comes to addressing such a matter with an individual it is important to first of all make sure the subject is handled in private and as sensitively and tactfully as possible, whilst not imposing any of my own ethics and values about standards of cleanliness as there may be reasons why the individual has poor hygiene that are highly personal to them
They are unlikely to think of themselves as ill when they have minor discomfort caused by colds or headaches, or when they feel tired or depressed. A HOLISTIC CONCEPT OF HEALTH A holistic concept of health is the belief that being healthy means being without any physical disorders or diseases and being emotionally comfortable. For example, a person who feels anxious or who has low self-esteem would, according to this concept, not be well. People with this view are likely to label themselves as ill when they experience a wide range of unpleasant feelings, not just physical discomfort or pain. They are likely to interpret minor discomforts, such as tiredness as symptoms of illness.

The use of the least restrictive interventions helps to ensure the safety of the individual as well as the dignity and rights of the individual. Using ‘heavy handed’ interventions may result in the situation escalating and the individual feeling more irate.

Behaving badly you will end up in jail or in a coffin. So you have to pick your battles very carefully. Your perception comes in the end, because after all the good and bad that you have done; now people have their own perception of you. You maybe the best person there is until somebody crosses you, and you may have a blackout moment, now people already have this bad idea about you, even though they do not know who you really are. Words are sharper than a sword, your tongue will hurt the ones you love and do not know, words will cause you to have a bad attitude and your behavior will fall into place with all kinds of bad gestures.
