The purpose and benefits of continuously improving my own performance at work is to exceed my limitations, achieve personal goals, increase income, self-motivation, to attain standard performance, to exceed my actual performance, benefits of progressing my career and job satisfaction. 1.2 Explain the purpose and value of encouraging and accepting feedback from others. The benefits of encouraging and accepting feedback is to help me improve my work, learn from my mistakes and to help me feel more confident in the work that I am doing. Feedback also helps us see ourselves from the perspective of others - to see ourselves as others see us.
This could be ensuring that all staff is using best practice and everyone is working in the same way. What impact would their be on the service provided by the business, with the change on working methods will the service offered to clients suffer or will it benefit the client. Failing to review the impact of change could lead to failing within a business. It is important when changes are being implemented with in a business that staff are fully trained and supported throughout. Most businesses would have a change manager who would implement the changes.
Taking into account the opinions of others and listeneing properly to their input will encourage a healthy team and also give the person involved control of whos and what input they would like in their support. Features of effective team performance, are having the team interacting and empowering each other through discussion and suggestion, this enables the team through meetings and every day events to put ideas forward and develop them to see what works and what does not, as some people believe that they way they do things is the only way which is not the case. There are several challenges’ that can form between developing and established teams, as everyone has their strengths but with that comes some allowable weakness. When these are identified it is my job to nurture strengths and set goals to overcome any weaknesses I do this through observation, meetings, supervision and appraisals. Also through ongoing course work to keep up to date with legislation and any changes to legislation to comply with CQC 3.

Managers are constantly seeking information on their tema membes to help them get faster and keep the quality of their work up. As a line manager it is my responsibility to ensure my line members are working to their full potential. I observe their techniques and get cycle times and offer advice to make them better.Therefore, I feel that is essential for me to have good intrapersonal communication skills. Communication with others on a one-on-one or interpersonal way is a neccessity to success in my workplace. Working on assembling product requires good communication with the people working beside you and with the supporting team members.
An effective planning, scheduling and cost control system allows us to improve our efficiency in a wide array of areas. Good planning and scheduling allows us to have better pre-job meetings by developing a “Master Construction Plan” and enables us to make estimating a more exact science. We are better able to manage our projects when labor demands and equipment schedules are pre-determined. All these things will help to hold us all more accountable in a post-job meeting by providing invaluable constructive feedback. This is needed and essential to our success but is dependent upon our ability to assimilate correct information.

This means that I too provide the necessary tools for my employees to succeed, however, I do follow through to ensure that no employee is falling behind in any of their tasks and responsibilities. I choose to focus on the positives and strengths instead of the negatives and the weaknesses. Many managers in my current firm do not take the proper time to shape their employees to be successful. I believe that the extra time that is spent training each employee, will yield higher and more positive results in the long run. By spending extra time with each employee also shows care and respect for each person.
Customer satisfaction is on the rise in the workplace, having good customer satisfaction will help you do more business. Listening to the customers will help a business know what the customers really wants and needs are essential in sales and business performance. Teamwork brings peoples strengths and talents together to help solve a problem. The more people you have working on something the more ideas will come up on how to solve a problem. Brainstorming and group problem solving will help a business succeed.
