Continuing Education and a Students Options Attending and then graduating from college is a great achievement for any person to be able to say they have accomplished in life. A student living in the Cincinnati, Ohio area has many choices of what colleges to go to. Students who chose certain colleges do so based on where they are geographically located and how far they are from their family first and foremost. However, with today’s economy the decision of what college to attend is very difficult. People have to think long and hard about what college would give them the best education for their money instead of just where it is located. According to the Northern Kentucky University web site this is “a thriving and quiet suburb just seven miles southeast of Cincinnati.” This would not be a long commute for a person who is driving. It would only take a person around ten minutes to get to campus by car. If a person does no drive and only uses public transportation they would have to catch a bus from downtown Cincinnati to the Covington Transit Center and from there catch another bus to NKU. If a person was in a class of only 8 students then it would mean they have a chance of being able to comprehend the information better. This means that there is a great chance of a student getting the help that he/she need in order to be able to achieve the highest grade possible. According to the Mount Saint Jo web site “The student-to-faculty ratio is 12:1. The Mount emphasizes personalized attention with high-quality faculty interaction.” This is a great thing for a college to emphasize on. Teacher to student ration is very important; not just to the students, but is also greatly expressed as an important tool for teachers to maintain success at Mount Saint Jo. Both of these two universities offer a great student to teacher ratio and either one would be a great choice for a student wanting to further their education. Both colleges believe in doing whatever it takes to make sure that the student has the greatest chance at success. They both are thriving colleges that academically based and they believe in putting the students’ needs first.
