After his move back to the states he landed a job at the New York Times working as a graphic designer in the promotions department. After discharge from the U.S. Army during the Korean War, Eric returned to his job at the New York Times and later landed the job title of the art director over an advertising agency (Eric Carle). The launch to Carles’ career as a children’s book illustrator and author happened when he joined forces with Bill Martin and came up with Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? Carle is also well known for some of his other books such as The Grouchy Ladybug and The Very Hungry Caterpillar, which has been translated into more than thirty different languages ("Biography Eric Carle."). Among the many awards Carle has received for his books is the “Laura Ingalls Wilder Award from the Association for Library Service to Children, American Library Association, 2003” (Awards list).
I will discuss three topics areas that will demonstrate the context for the artifact: JFK as a rhetor, the occasions on which the rhetoric was presented and the audience to whom the rhetoric was addressed. Background John Fitzgerald Kennedy graduated from Harvard University in 1940 and shortly thereafter joined the Navy. While serving in WWII, his PT boat was rammed and sunk by a Japanese destroyer; Kennedy suffered critical injuries, but still managed to get him and other survivors to safety. William Raspberry, a nationally syndicated columnist for the Washington Post, was born in Okolona, Mississippi, in 1935. He attended Indiana Central College, earning a degree in history in 1958, and was awarded a Doctorate of Humane Letters there in 1973. Raspberry has worked for the Washington Post since 1962, first as a reporter-editor, then as urban-affairs columnist. He has taught journalism at Howard University, has lectured on race relations and public education, and has been a television commentator in Washington, D C. Knight graduated with a degree in history and government in 1962. Immediately after graduating in 1962, Knight coached junior varsity basketball at Cuyahoga Falls High School in Ohio for one year. In 1963, Knight enlisted in the U. S. Army and accepted an assistant coaching position. Two years later, he was named the head coach. Knight was only 24 years old.
David Sedaris was born in Binghamton, New York, on December 26th, 1956, and grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina. In his childhood, he went to a speech therapist for his lisp problem. He attended Kent State University, but dropped out, and ended up graduating from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He worked many odd jobs in Raleigh, Chicago and New York City. Since the 1908s, he has been living in France with his partner, Hugh Hamrick.

As president he accomplished a lot of things. He served as a Supreme Commander of the Allied forces in Europe. After the war, he became President of Columbia University.
After this he started his higher education at New Mexico Military institute in Roswell where his grades started to drop until a student there showed him how to study. He received his Associates Degree there and went on to attend Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He decided that partying would be his main priority and flunked out quickly. In 1951 he received his Bachelors Degree from Eastern New Mexico University then transferred to well respect Texas Tech University where he got his masters degree in Zoology. In 1958 he continued his schooling at University of Arizona where he received a Ph.D. in studying the growth of Savannah
King get his own column in the college news paper called Kings garbage truck. It was Called Kings garbage truck because it was so unpredictable. King then graduates College on June fifth, 1970. King followed that success with a completing a novel. He finished the novel “Getting It on” in 1971, that novel was later rejected but it didn’t phase King, he just kept on writing (39).
Milosevic went to study law at the University of Belgrade Law School, where he became head of the ideology of the committee of the Communist League of Yugoslavia (SKJ). While at the university, he befriended Ivan Stambolic, whose uncle Petar Stambolic had been a president of Serbian Executive Council. (FGC) After graduating from the University in 1966, Milosevic became an economic adviser to the Mayor of Belgrade. Five years later, he married Mirjana Markovic, which he had known since childhood. In 1968, Milosevic gain employment in the Tehnogas Company and became its chairman in 1973.
Life of Yann Martel Born on June 25, 1963 in Salamanca, Spain, Yann Martel had a unique childhood. His parents who were Canadian born, had joined the Canadian foreign service. The result was Martel being raised in Canada, Costa Rica, France, Spain, and Mexico. Martel studied philosophy in Ontario at Trent University from 1981 to 1984. He was 27 years old when he decided to become a full-time author, after having spent some time working odd jobs such as tree planting, dishwasher, security guard, and parking lot attendant.
