Walmart vs. Kmart Many people shop at different stores, but has anyone ever thought about the differences between the stores they shop at. Wal-Mart and K-Mart are just two stores that most people shop at. We will see the differences and similarities of their products, affordability and quality, accessibility and online shopping. First, the features and products of each store are different. Wal-Mart is a large store with an open floor plan with room for more than one shopping cart in an aisle, but K-Mart is a smaller store than Wal-Mart with smaller floor plan with space for only one shopping cart. Wal-Mart has variety of products like jewelry, apparel, food, home essentials, medicine, etc. K-Mart sells most of the same items but there is not as much of a selection as what can be found at Wal-Mart. When someone usually goes into Wal-Mart they will see it usually stays stocked most of the time, but when someone goes into K-Mart they will see empty spaces on the shelves. Wal-Mart is basically a store where someone can buy everything unlike K-Mart. Second, the affordability and quality of goods at each store are different. At Wal-Mart items can be found for a lesser price than K-Mart. Wal-Mart will match the price if an item is found for less at another store, but K-Mart does not do this. Usually items at K-Mart are usually a couple of dollars higher than Wal-Mart. Walmart sells products that can not be found at K-Mart. Third, Wal-Mart and K-Mart have differences in accessibility and online shopping. Wal-Mart has thousands of units of stock over many countries. Unlike Wal-Mart, K-Mart has only a couple thousand units of stock over several countries. Both Wal-Mart and K-Mart offer the option of online shopping.
