When it comes to fashion, earrings are a very important key. Yet, there are two common ways to get your ears pierced. It can be done either with a safety pin or with a piercing gun. Many questions come in mind with this process. Still, the main question is which one is easier to do, hurts less, and is less dangerous? When using a safety pin to pierce your ears, it is somewhat of a simple process. First, you must get all the materials you will need. You will need: a large safety pin, rubbing alcohol, a candle, some ice, earrings, and some ibuprofen. Next, you must ice the ear lobe until they feel numb. It should take about a minute or so. After that, take some of the ibuprofen to help deal with the pain later on after you have pierced your ears. Next sterilize the needle by burning it with the candle. Then wipe the needle with an alcohol soaked paper towel to clean it off. Pierce the ears with the sterilized pin. Leave the pin in for about 10 minutes before removing it and putting in the earring. After putting the earring in, use the rubbing alcohol every night to clean your ears. This will help prevent any infections. Leave the earring in your ear for about 4 to 6 weeks and do not remove them. Obviously, no matter which process you choose, you still get the same end result. However, there are pros and cons to each one. Some may be risky and some may just be a minor thing, but they are still to be taken into consideration. Now, when it comes to using a piercing gun, it is a little more complicated. The very first thing you must do is pin your hair back away from your ears. Do this before you get your supplies. Again, you must gather all the things you will need. This time, you will need: the ear piercing gun, alcohol swabs, surgical marking pen, anti-bacterial soap, hair pins, and some starter studs.
