One difference is that the Egyptians used mummification in their burial process to preserve the body, while the Shang did not. Egypt built great pyramids as the final resting place for their dead, but Shang did not. In Egyptian culture, women were considered equal to men; however in Shang culture, men were predominant, and women had to listen to their husbands. The religions of these two civilizations were the most distinct. The Shang believed in Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism, while the Egyptian religion was centered on the ruler and the eternity of the soul.
Athens was more worried about the comfort and culture during the time of the military battles. The oligarchy in Sparta put a war like attitude as it's first priority and it met the needs of Ancient Greece. Athens did not have the best form of government because it did not give the citizens of Greece more freedom. The Athenian democracy can not be called a true democracy because there was several flaws in the governement and how it worked. Only the
After the conquest and through the declined of the natives surrounding their overworked and poorer conditions, Spaniards did but little to care at the expense of their wealth. Bartolome de las Casas and the New Laws reduced this labor system which angered in part the encomenderos who through civil wars and lack of heirs had their encomiendas reverted to the crown. The repartimiento/mita which is a labor draft within the Inca Empire was changed to a forced labor draft for the Spaniards in order to mine, obraje labor, and agricultural surplus. Negatively speaking, it was an easy faster way to make Spaniards rich. Natives were used to a monetary system and were unconsciously willing to work in order to meet this new type of payments.
Spain on the other hand felt that the native people were not using the land to it's full potential. It was their obligation to put the land to better use. Through the generations of colonization and invasion, both the Spanish Empire and the native people met several ups and downs. Spain initially conquered many of the Natives such as the Aztecs and the Pueblos. Eventually the Pueblos blamed the Spanish for their hardships and misfortunes because of the fact that the Spanish had, in a sense, outlawed their ancient rituals and ceremonies.

On the other hand, Egypt developed near the Nile River. Developing near a river or body of water was not only important to these two civilizations but to other civilizations as well. For example China developed near the Yellow and Yangtze Rivers and India developed near the Indus River. Developing near a river was important because the surrounding land was very fertile and great for farming. This led
The Aztec and Onondaga tribe are in no way similar in language, culture, and region but they do have one thing in common, a creation story; that they have kept with them long, even after their existence, to be recorded today. A creation story of both tribes would be their only similarity in common because of the complexity of the Aztec creation over the Onondaga and it's short and simple creation. Although, so vastly different, only one common but crucial detail is made that the Earth was created on a creature in the Aztec myth because of the four brothers that had destroyed the beast. Also, being that in the Onondaga, the Earth was created on the turtles back when the mouse achievable gathered dirt form the bottom of the ocean to smear on the turtle back. This land so teamed with life and that living beings could then populate the Earth.

The Nile was a big factor to Egypt’s success. The Nile had provided Egyptians with a lot of benefits one of the most contributing being the ability to grow crops according to how the Nile floods and when it floods. The Egyptians soon knew when to plant their crops to get the most out of the flood. The flood usually left rich soil deposits that crops grew very fast on. By predicting when the Nile floods they can build or move their house close to the river to get water and move it when it floods to protect them.
Though Mesopotamia and Egypt were alike there were some differences between the two. With Mesopotamia gaining all the wealth from agriculture and with a few natural defenses, this made the people susceptible to have more invasions and to have internal conflicts. Egypt on the other had didn’t have as many interruptions as Mesopotamia, because of the high mountains and deserts helped to protect the Nile Valley. In Egypt their main focus was the funerary practices. The rulers devoted their time to the design and decoration of extensive funerary complexes, as well as the pyramids and subterranean tombs.
